Here's some random cool trivia: Rin's portable grill is a Showa Press A-4 Boy, which goes for 12000 Yen, and the grocery store they visit is modelled after the Selva Food Garden in Minobu

Also, here's the pole holding the webcam that Rin waved at during episode four.

Wow, you've really done your homework with identifying all the equipment used so far.

The level of attention paid to detail in YuruCamp is nothing short of impressive, and it's been a blast to hunt down the different things, whether they be locations or equipment, that have gone into this series

Once again we have a drunken young teacher, a character I first saw in Azumanga Daioh. As someone once in education I find this stereotype tiresome.

I could understand "groundo-clotho" perhaps, but "tento?" You would think that Japanese has a native word for "tent," but apparently they were not common. The Portuguese viceroy presented Hideyoshi with a "campaign tent," along with some armor, in 1588. I'm sure whatever word was used to describe that gift, it wasn't "tento." The only tent I can find from World War II is a large octagonal affair, but its Japanese name is not attached to the picture. Does anyone know when "tento" began to be used? Was it before the Occupation?

The geometric figure is known as the "Fibonacci Spiral," named after Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci, who introduced the Hindu-Arabic decimal numbering system to Medieval Europe.

It's called the Fibonacci Spiral because the proportions in it are based on the Fibonacci Sequence - 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, etc., where each number is the sum of the previous two. The farther you go in the sequence, the ratio of one number divided by the previous number (13/8, 21/13, etc.) approaches an irrational number called Phi, which is approximately equal to 1.618. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Phi was considered the "Golden Mean," the ideal proportion for things in art, architecture and more.

And if you liked all that, check out my books about a girl who solves math problems for monsters.

I'm right there with you. It would easily account for why the older fellow looked to be such a veteran at camping. This seventh episode's best part was Rin running for cover with Nadeshiko after having told her that there are no ghosts to worry about! It might be a turning point for her now, appreciating what company brings with it

My thoughts on the fire starting machine:
- Nadeshiko sees two women camping and assume lesbian couple? How progressive.
- Wait, she thinks Short Hair is a man?
- Wait, Short Hair is a man?

Random grandpa wasn't so random and actually a grandpa. Well played, yuru camp. I guess coolness runs in the family

Another fun episode full of all the fun things one has come to expect from this series, plus we actually got Rin and Nadeshiko sleeping in the same tent, and the latter's reaction was adorable so... wait, Nadeshiko was adorable through the whole episode

BLANKET beats ITEM through sheer comfiness

Oh, hi, totally not Sawako-sensei.

I assumed the same.
What, why?
Wait, what? Are we absolutely sure? Really? 100%?

I honestly haven't been this confused about a character's gender in a very long time.

Say what you will about Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, at least the teacher was an athlete, not a drunkard. How rare is that?

Wow. So the old man who's narrating and the one Chiaki saw is Rin's grandpa. She has a cool grandpa.

That lake site camp is so beautiful. They pick one awesome place. And the girls met what's probably the club's future adviser and the 'handy guy' is probably a girl. It was nice of Rin giving them food as thanks for helping them out. It was a pleasure to watch them eating in camp with delicious food with a beautiful background. I was laughing at Rin mistaking the woman for a ghost and slept beside Nadeshiko.

The level of comfiness as usual is really high. The beautiful background, eating delicious food, meeting new people. Its such a pleasure to watch over and over again.

Whenever I feel down I just watch this anime with a nice hot coffee and I feel alright again. The powers of Iyashikei genre is so good.

Yuru Camp better have another season. One cour isn't enough.

The thing is, the prefectual government didn't sponsor this series, despite there's records of governments of this level having done that. For example, Kotoura-san is sponsored by Tottori.
