Any other shows like Poyopoyo?

This one seems pretty unique so I don't expect there to be a lot of other shows like this, but any other good slice-of-life comedies about pets and preferably cats?

Also, if you can think of a show that is stylistically and thematically like Poyopoyo, but not about pets, I would be open to that kind of recommendation as well.

These kind of shows are such a great antidote to all of the grim, violent, anime I usually watch.

Well, there's Chi's Sweet Home...

Maybe a long shot, but somehow I feel like recommending Shirokuma Café.

Yes! Thank you for this. Exactly what I was looking for.

I'll alo check out Chi's Sweet Home although this one looks like it might be a little bit TOO cute.

I highly recommend looking at Akitaro Daichi's comedic works. He was the director of Poyopoyo, and he's done a lot of great comedy anime.

Of his works, Poyopoyo seems closest in tone and style to Atashi'n'chi, but that only had a few episodes fansubbed.

I'd say his best comedic works are Akazukin Chacha and Kodocha, but those aren't very similar to Poyopoyo.

I'll give it a try. Always looking for good anime comedy.

Too much of anime comedy is either harem (not that there aren't ANY good harem comedies) or failed attempts to replicate AzuDai (Lucky Star, Nichijou, K-on et al. damn you KyoAni!)

Crunchyroll only has season two which I didn't find as appealing as the first season. There are fansubs for that out there, but we cannot point you to them.

For a bit edgier show about a pet, I recommend Higepiyo. He is a chick bought at a festival stand by a young family who later discover the chick can speak. Higepiyo himself has aspirations to samurai greatness. This is one of my favorite VA roles for the great Paku Romi.

I'll second the Shirokuma Cafe rec, just a total mood booster.
