I'm with the people who would rather have a normal relationship for this anime's ending. Haven't we had enough incest already? If you want downright incest, you already have other anime. Also, It would make or break this anime if you think about it. Do you want this anime to be typecasted?

Re: incest thing, people are talking about, I also would rather they keep the flow of the story as it is... they have plenty of of those "types" of anime as things are. I haven't read the manga yet, so I hope no body tell such a spoiler or anything here...

The only anime I can think of that had a romantic incest relationship was Koi Kaze and that was a drama. I don't see why people are getting so bent outta shape about this being incest when the very series paints itself with incest connotations.

Kirino is still pissing me off because Kyosuke hasn't done anything to deserve the amount of hatred she has for him.

The problem I have with Kyosuke is that he's too plain. We don't see any dreams of his, goals, or just motivations in general that isn't related to Kirino.

You have to conisder that they've been in a cold war for god who knows how long. It'd be odd for her to be all mushy, mushy with him all of a sudden.　Vice versa as well.

As for Kyousuke, since it's an anime medium, we won't get to see what he thinks about all the time but it should be pretty clear once a few more episodes skip by. I hope...

I though of something what if Kirino has been adopted since a very young age......the eyes of hers do not match up to the family at all and I find it baffling TBH. What happens if no one told that Kyousuke and more important would that not make the incest not incest at all.

What's even more interesting is that it could be possible and thus explain the huge going against Kyousuke thing.

Hopefully we get Kanako x Keitaro end. Which means Kirino confesses the thought, but Kyousuke will have to turn down the confession due to his respect of Kirino being his sister.

Kirino got teal colour pupils while Kyousuke got dark blue. Both their parents have brown eyes. Could be just stylistic choice, unless you want to argue that they are both adopted.
Special mention: Ayase also has dark blue eyes, and got the same hairstyle as the fake imouto in the beginning of ep1. :P

One of the reason why I'm against the change in "that" scene is that, it makes sense for Kyousuke to keep his arm stuck under Kirino's head, but it becomes stupid when his hand is gelled onto the bra. Not to mention why would you apply extra force to your little sister's fall when you specifically called "watch out".

On another note, I still support the theory that Ayase is a stalker, and she somehow managed to track them down at Big sight.

Pretty enjoyable series so far. I really realy really abhor incest themes but this series actually doesn't seem like it's going to go down that road. Instead it's probably going to portray sibling love like it is in real life (which I actually think a lot of anime fail to do. It's either shallow or annoying incest). Anyway I'm not sure if it's going to lead itself down the incest road eventually but I sure as hell hope not (nothing wrong with the story or the execution if it does, but its just a theme that I can't stand myself since I have a sister).

Anyway, the title for the next episode makes my bitch-radar tingle.

That's some justification I still can't consider as foolproof.
It is because they are in "cold war"? I would rather see some awkward interactions, no downright hatred and insults.
Even Kyousuke states they didn't interact much, nor he could talk with her face to face for -years-. Acting like strangers isn't the same as waging sibling love/hate interactions at all.

While I would understand if Kirino had hard time to choose her words wisely, going trigger happy on the verbal abuse etc is arguably not justified by the so called "cold war". I don't think anyone expect Kirino to be all considerate or sweet towards Kyousuke. But no matter what, she just pushes him doing things without considering his own take, nor she gives him credit or time to explain himself.

I guess some people can't relate to their harsh interactions...cause I sure can. Even though I have a little brother instead of a little sister, it's still the same.

-The lifestyle gaps of certain siblings cause them to be protective of their lifestyle. Examples include episode 1, with Kirino getting uncomfortable with Kyousuke looking around her room. Sharing lifestyles makes you feel vulnerable, something that, when you've been on cold terms for so long, is going to receive backlash.

-Certain siblings do not want to LOSE. They don't want to be WRONG, especially when proven wrong by their siblings. It's just natural sibling rivalry to me. Whenever my brother happens to be right about something, it annoys me. Thus, it feels natural for me when Kirino makes these rash decisions such as not being (initially) empathetic when Kyousuke goes to comfort her and when Kirino doesn't listen about the "box".

-Certain siblings do not show the same face to their friends as they show to their siblings. Due to the age gap, of course you'll feel more friendly and respectful to the peers you can see when you want to see them, rather than the brother you have to see whether you like it or not. I TOTALLY get it when I don't want my siblings talking to my friends: I think that he's just annoying them for attention. Same with Kirino: she doesn't want Kyousuke to interact with her friends because she thinks it'll annoy them or creep them out.

-Certain siblings get annoyed when people compliment their siblings, ESPECIALLY if they're untrue. In my case, when people say my brother is cute and so nice...I have to laugh and roll my eyes, cause I know that's not true in my household. I understand it when Kirino has a negative reception to compliments towards Kyousuke. However, I also get when she gets discomforted when he's downright insulted as well. It just feels AWKWARD when someone else is insulting someone in your family other than YOU.

-Certain siblings have been on standoff for so long that the mere presence of the sibling or having to be around them is just...annoying. I for one do not like my brother (presently, hopefully he gets better as he matures ) simply because I've gotten sick of his actions, that even when he isn't doing something bad, it just comes as a reaction to me to perceive it as negative. Although it might not be the same case in Oreimo, it's still the same concept: certain siblings just don't click until something drastic changes.

Notice how I use "certain", because not all cases of siblings in the real world are bickering. But upon seeing these comments on this board, I think the direction of the anime is working really well: illustrating just how annoying certain siblings can be, and making the audience feel that way.

About incest, I don't really care though whole series are based around that theme. However, I wouldn't mind if their relationship became closer but on brother/sister level, not romantic. But I won't mind it much other way around.

But where have you seen so many incest animes? I only know two: Kiss Sis (which was mostly dumb from what I saw) and Shoujo Sect (which is yuri based).

it would be rather funny if Ayase was also attending Comiket. since Kirino was trying so hard to keep her friends from discovering her hobby, the hilarity that would ensue if they had the same hobby would be epic.

About H stuff, there's that new anime something about twin sibling (a male and a female) with another older sister, but i most likely will pass it.

All of yuri twincest turned out to be either psycho or evil. I guess in Japan, they can't accept more than one level of taboo in the relationship...

But anyway let's get back to Oreimo. Too bad we can't make a poll. Otherwise i believe Kirino x Syousuke as genuine siblings love will win by 66%

If you want normal yuri sistercest, check Shoujo Sect. They don't play huge role, but they were not crazy. And series are a hentai so yeh...

Lol yeh, those two would probably win. Though I don't like Kirino much, she over reacts and treats her bother too badly considering how much he helped her especially in last episode.

AND I love Ayase-chan VERY MUCH !!!! She is so cute like main heroine !!!
