Welcome to the Naruto Character of the Month Contest!!!!!!


It’s December and our theme is “ Tecnological Ninja”
Basically the ninja should use hitech gadgets, inventions, or any technology in some form to aid them in combat. Now I'm thinking more recent and futuristic technology, not really cogs and gears here.

The winner of this contest will decide the theme for next months contest.




This thread is for submissions into the Character of the Month contest.
Contest Rules are as follows:
1. Every contest will have a theme. Each contestant must abide by the theme. Themes cannot be picked twice in a row.

2. Every Character Must be put in spoiler tags. This is to save space.

3. Contest submissions begin on the first day of each month. The entry period will last until two weeks from that date.

4. On the day after the submission date, a poll will open and it will last for one week. When the poll closes, the winner will be allowed to choose a theme for the next contest.

5. The next contest will not begin until the first of the month, when submissions are allowed once again.

6. Only one official submission per contestant. You may create as many character as you want, but you can only enter one official character. So please put “final or official entry in your post when your ready to turn in your finished character.

7. You are allowed to wait until the final day to turn in your entry. If you wish to keep your entry private until the day the poll opens you can request it in the submission thread or by private message to the organizer (me, Zaku).

8. If you would like pictures included with your character please include links without image code tags so that it is easier for me to carry the pictures over to the voting thread.(You may still include pictures with code tags as long as you include plain links with them)

This months entry period officially starts November 28, 2008 and lasts until December 20, 2008. Entries will be gathered and put up for voting on December 21, 2008. Voting will end on the following Sunday.***





Entries can either be private messaged or posted in the submission thread. The submission thread can also be used to post works in progress to gather feedback from other posters. You do not have to post your entries in the thread if you don't wish to (for those who want to be private about what they are working on), until the last day of submissions. The whole idea is to promote quality entries but it's not required to submit early if you are confident in your entry but want to keep your submission secret until the due date.I will periodically update the thread to keep track of the names of all contestants and list those names here. Those who wish to keep entries private until the due date should still inform me they are entering so I can keep track of who is competing.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them here or private message me, I'll do my best to answer.

***A few notes about due dates and other "stuff"***
The due date ends at 11:59 (midnight basically) . The polling will be up one day later after 11:59 (again, midnight). I will try to be as lenient as I can with last minute submissions but only slightly.

Hair-Red , poffed out and wild, usually puts it in 2 ponytails. wears an bandana around forehead.
Eyes- usually bright green, but change to olive green in the winter months
pants- baggy tan
shrit- like wearing tanks
shoes- flipflops

rank- no really an ninja. (more of an inventor for new tech. 4 ninja to use)

Weaknesses: for new tools/ techn. equipment, she like an kid at an candy store when she's at tech shops.

Strengths: Uses her wrench to hit people, she can make it big. It's like the only justsu she knows.

Bio: Born into an family of mechnics. She the only daughter of 4 kids of master technogist "Hugh Tiller". Her dad wouldn't let her learn how to, make tech, cuz it not an woman's job. So she learned how to do it herself ( w/ some help from her closest brother Josh) and she's, really good and proved him wrong. But he still dis accounts her. So on her 16th b-day she was old enough to leave home. So she goes around learning new things to be the best tecnogolist. She now is temporany living in a village near the leaf.

Backstory

The misterious ninja known as Dark Slayer is a cold blood assasin who works for the Yakusa Mafia in Japan, all about him, his past, family or origin is totally unknown, even his apearance lies in mistery behind that black helmet

Dark Slayer doesn't posses any kind of magical ability, neither an unhuman power, but his skill and agility has no match, equiped with weapons and devices of high technology, probably provided by the money of the Yakusa mafia

Is it unknow wich is the goal or objetive of this man, but one point is fact, no one who has faced him, has lived to tell the tale

Weapons

1)Wind Wild Shurikane: A big shurikane with a very well aerodinamic design, the weapon with blades deadly as swords can cut trough steel and rock and return to the hand of Dark Slayer as a boomerang

2)Explosive Shurikane: Small shurikanes who are truly time bombs, one incerted on the skin of the enemy, it just needs a pair of seconds to explote and tear apart the body of it's Victim

3)Blades of the esat dragon: A pair of razor sharp blades that Dark Slayer uses as his main weapons, light as feathers but able to cut a solid rock in two

4)Blak Gun: Dark Slayer's personal gun, ideal for ranged combat

5)Fake mist: Little balls that creates a small mist, usefull to confuse the enemy or to allow Dark Slayer to escape

6)Camouflage Device: The most advanced technology at the hand of this assasin, this device allows Dark Slayer to turn invisible to the eyes of his foes, Dark Slayer's foes should know, fear what you canot see

Appearance-

Looks: Short and skinny
Hair: Spiky and red
Clothes: Black gloves, white shirt with an chibi android on it, long cargo pants, black ribbon tied around his forehead, watch with a computer screen instead of a clock face.
Attitude: Calm, friendly, focused

Bio: Not much is known about Ratchet's past. He was left around the border of the Land of Wind, where the Hidden Fortress Village is located. A patrol of ninja found him and took him into the village. He was put at the orphanage until he was adpoted at age 5. His new parents were mechanics in the Village. The Village is based around steam technology. Basically, Ratchet grew up around tools and began working with them. When he became a ninja and he started making advances ninja tools/gadgets than train his jutsu. As a result, he has many weapons but does not have advanced jutsu. He also has a chipmunk named Chippoke. He found Chippoke when he was 12, Chippoke had been run over by a steam bike, but Ratchet was able to save him by cutting the parts of his body that were totally broken and replacing them with robot parts. The results left Chippoke with a robot left arm, right leg, his buck teeth, the right of his middle section, his left eye and the tip of his tail. Chippoke also fights by Ratchet's side and is always on his shoulder or resting in his back pocket.

Jutsu-

Scrap Clone Jutsu- a jutsu that makes a clone out of any kind of scrap; scrap metal, scrap wood, etc.

Shuriken Surprise!!- Ratchet pulls out shuriken and tosses them at the enemy, missing on purpose, but the shuriken explode behind the person, so it can be used in different ways. Ratchet can make a tree/wall fall on an opponent or have it distract them so they're guard is down.

Metal Prison Jutsu - Using this jutsu, Ratchet makes the opponent magnetic and acn make all metal objects smother the opponent, trapping them in metal from the neck down. Chippoke must be in Ratchet's back pocket, since his limbs are made of a metal alloy.

Metal Armor Jutsu- Using the same jutsu for Metal Prison but using it on himself. Ratchet makes metal armor on his arms, legs, around his face and mid section. Ratchet has enhanced strength in this form.

Chippoke STRIKE!- Chippoke attacks the enemy, biting them, "releasing" his bladder on them, running all inside their clothes etc. More of a comeidc act.

Camo Jutsu- Rachet turns himself completly invisible

Weapons/Gadgets-

Basic shuriken and kunai

Self-Exploding Mechanical Shuriken/Kunai- Nin-tools with a futuristic design that explode on after one second after contact

Chakra-seeking Windmill Shuriken- the name says it all

Watch- Has a locator in it, incase Ratchet is held hostage by the enemy. Is also a communicator

Chakra Gun w/ Chakra Bullets- When Ratchet was found, he had a chakra bcrystal with him, like Naruto's. Later he developed a gun that could shoot chakra. Using the crystal as its power souce and since the crystal respnds to Ratchet's chakra, only he can use. Ratchet never uses it though since the incident. When a death row inmate escaped from confinment, Ratchet and his squad were sent after him, but he was too much and had subdued the trio. With all three on the ground, Ratchet decided to use the gun. The gun shot a blast of chakra at the man and he immediately collapsed. After an autopsy, it reveled that the blast had severed his chakra network, causing instant death. Since its power is to great, he keeps it hidden where no one can find it.

Light Sword- Ratchet's signature weapon after the Chakra Gun was a failure. He composed together a not so terrifying weapon. A small 7 inch hilt and when it turns on, a foot long horizontal bar comes from the bottom and and a 2 foot light comes out from both sides that takes the form of a slim beam. The color can be changed depending on the color of the crystal inside of it. Ratchet also has a second light sword which he uses in a case of absolute emergency.

Kikaigakure as it is known is a small village located on an island far off the coast of the Fire Country. For years, they have been an upstart, developing technologies and inventions decades ahead of their time. Two hundred years later, this has become no exception. The small island city has grown to a hich-tech metropolis, it's borders expanded by dozens of landfill expansions, and enhanced ninja such as Ude Kasshu are a sight as common as a shuriken.
Ude Kasshu was born into Kikaigakure under a name long since forgotten, as his original family had placed him into an orphanage long before he could remember them. The orphanage he was placed into was one owned by the Ninja Academy, and was subsequently recruited once he reached the proper age. His progress was rather unimpressive, being below average in most subjects. He did eventually graduate, but was left to perform low-level missions, mainly acting as a messenger and courier. However, on one day, Kikaigakure fell under attack by group of rogue ninja, and was caught in an explosion from a bomb planted by them.
Afterwards, his condition was nearly hopeless. The explosion had cost him his right arm, right eye, both of his legs, and many of his organs were severely damaged by his pulverized ribcage. While nearing death, Ude volunteered for the cybernetic augmentation program, and was immediately accepted.
The operation had removed much of his former appearance, and humanity. He had a new mechanical limb, eye, and many other enhancements, but his former lacking skills were replaced by mental combat programming, which made the best use of his new enhancements. Now, continuing his service to the Kikaigakure Ninja, Ude Kasshu acts as a Hunter, searching out lost ninja and criminals, and if need be, destroy them.

Technology: Ude Kasshu's numerous enhancements are the pinnacle of Kikaigakure's technological developments.

While chakra is still prevalent in Ude's body, in order to power the mechanical parts he has a pair of fins on his back. These fins can extend solar panels as thin as a sheet of cloth and gather energy. The panels are very efficient and can extract large amounts of energy in minutes, enough to keep his combat functions running for hours, if the need demands it.

These panels can also be retracted, and the fins can serve another purpose, to generate thrust for his primary attack, which will be explained further on.

The artificial right eye is another advanced piece of Kikaigakure technology. When activated, it can detect objects through heat signatures, can amplify light for night-vision, and perform numerous other features. It's more advanced functions are based on many famous eye-related kekkei-genkai, such as detecting muscle movement, and providing an extended field of vision, amongst other functions. These advanced functions however, are still within experimental stages, and their actual effectiveness pales in comparison to the genuine articles.

The legs are visually entirely different from the other prosthetics on Ude's body, but are still incredible. The structure is modeled after actual human anatomy, and is composed of a high-strength alloy skeleton covered in artificial muscle. The muscles are dozens of times more powerful than actual muscle, giving Ude incredible leg strength. The feet are also equipped with super-compacted thrusters, allowing for thrust-powered jumps and high speed propulsion.

Ude's arm is itself an incredible piece of machinery. While having much more power than a human arm immediately, it's packed with numerous combat functions, which Ude prefers to use almost exclusively over jutsu, since the difference in hand size makes forming hand signs clumsy and awkward at best.

The combat functions are as follows,

Beam Naginata - The spike-like fin on the arm's elbow is actually a very compact, double ended beam weapon. When activated, the handle extends from the elbow, and can be pulled out. Once removed from the arm, a blade of energy erupts from both ends, making it a blade strong enough to slice through nearly any material. Ude does consider this weapon to be too powerful when going against metal weaponry, he lowers the output to make it more more exciting when entering a swordfight, since the lower power makes it weak enough to only resist blades instead of slice right through them.

Arm Cannon - A long-distance weapon. The arm folds open, and the central energy structure flips out to form a cannon barrel. The barrel can fire a high energy beam. This attack is used in lieu of shuriken and kunai, and has much more power.

Heat End - Ude's most powerful weapon. The Heat End works by having every joint in the hand remove themselves from their primary connectors. The sections of fingers then all spin at near-sonic speed, spouting huge amounts of energy in the process. The fingers are still held in place by high-tension cables, so the hand retains its shape, and moves in a normal fashion, but now any contact with the hand while it's in this state will cause severe damage, and in the event of a full-contact strike, the force can be almost instantly fatal.
Taking advantage of this powerful ability, Ude uses his fins to fire energy at a high rate, as well as fire his foot thrusters, making him a charging hand of destruction. If his hand makes contact at this speed, the force of the impact combined with the hand's natural destructive power at that state end up completely obliterating all but the most resistant of materials.
The major downside of this attack is that the requirement of energy needed for the hand and the thrusters can be extremely high, so keeping it activated for long periods of time will drain Ude's energy reserves, and will then start draining chakra, which would be drained even faster. Another downside is that the stresses on the hand from this mode are also very high, and can cause severe damage to the hand if kept activated too long.

That was a lot of stuff to write! Sorry if it seemed overly-technical, but the more my mind wandered on his prosthetics, the more I came up with. Hope I didn't bore you all too much.
