Unless EA itself wanted Bioware to rush the game and actively meddled with production, most of the blame will still fall on the developer and not the publisher. For all the (usually righteous) hate EA gets, in the end a poorly made game reflects poorly on the developer. It's easy to look back with rose tinted glasses on the "glory days" of Bioware, but you need to judge the developer on the now and not with their reputation.
As for me, well, I loved Anthem's gameplay but really found the game to be a technical mess. I'm more than willing to give the game a good shot if they can buff out the bugs and issues that I really experienced in the demo.

You can pick up physical copies for amazon for around £35-£40 at the minute, down from £49.99. Lots of people have been getting discount codes for £5-10 by email too. You can also get a digital copy of CDkeys.com for about £34.

So I knew Anthem's production had to be mess, but I really understimated just how big of a clusterfuck it was:
https://kotaku.com/how-biowares-anth...ong-1833731964 I know a lot of people don't like Kotaku, but Jason Schreier did a stellar job exposing Bioware and EA. |
