Also, your reasoning—sans the latter part—is exactly why they stand out for me. (Actually all the couples stand out from one another.) No damsel in distress for the Russian team, that's for sure. It's the lady who leads the way while the guy is her bitch. Leather and whip obviously included. Quote:
I think it should be obvious by now that even character designs in anime are typecasted too. Bishounen assholes, love rivals with bigger breasts...it's just getting old personally. |

Now i want to play the game. Hope it gets ported over to the us. Thats the kind of ending that should be use more often in Harem Animes.

Seriously though, I'm curious. Does the PS2 game actually have multiple endings? Spoiler:

And the whole S&M sexpot thing really doesn't work unless its a hot woman doing it. Like I said earlier, ugly sexpot = autofail. Quote:
Godannar's characters are definitely archtypical (is that even a word?), but they're better executed and more likable than they would be in your generic anime. |

Funny thing is, all these couple types is one of the things that made this show entertaining to me. Quote:

There's no multiple endings, I believe. It's a fighting game without choices, where you play different robots depending on the anime scenario. Using Lou's Diver sucks. Spoiler:

And you're sure that the Brits aren't related? I don't remember them ever suggesting that... Quote:

As for the Brits, well, aren't they? I'm not sure either, hence why mentioned incest or pseudo-incest (in other words, still thematically incest or at the very least bro/sis complex) as the driving theme to that pair. Beats me really. Quote:

Well, I am kinda late to the party - just finished watching the show, has been on the back burner for quite some time. Not bad at all. I wish they went into more detail on a great many things, though.
I must say that in Ekaterina's defence she looks much better when she's not wearing that flight suit - looks much better in civilian clothes. Couple questions: Spoiler:

Love Godannar. Great show, fun, with all the elements of pure FUN that you need in an anime without the total in-depth immersion that you need in other series. Sometimes, you just need a good flick...sometimes you need a sad flick...sometimes you need drama. This is just relaxation.
Still, it surprises me, with all the breasts and bouncing, that there is very little sex sex....some innuendo, certainly, and...I wonder...do Goh and Anna EVER get "some" with all the people who live in their house...all in the same room of that tiny apartment???????????? Second, any good fanficts out there? |

Late to the party but I just finished Godannar after trying to catch up some missed Super Robot shows. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, was a really good throwback to the ol' days hotblooded super robot action. First season was good-great constantly while the second season was kinda iffy until the very last few episodes.
At certain times the insane b00b jiggling seem out of place but I just got used to it as it seem to be the series signature. The ending was surprisingly well done though I wish certain characters got better treatment, like Milla, Lou, the very awesome Koji, and (I guess) eternally lonely Shizuru. |
