Re. episode 8.

Does Ren really look like Sid Vicious? There's some similarity, but other than that both played bass and Ren looks somewhat punkish, it seem somewhat minimal...

anyone read bout the nana second movie coming out> i saw link but lost it .
oops, anime chat...

i liked the "recap" episode cuz it showed more details. id rather have the show slower paced but sticks to the manga so we really get to know the char better.

Yep, Viz has licensed the manga under their Shojo Beat line. Currently 2 volumes have been released with the 3rd one coming out in the beginning of June.

Thanks. now the question is do they try to maximize the franchise with a drama or let it go with only the second movie and anime? will be interesting to find out. This story has drama wrote all over it, and honestly i'm surprised they haven't actually.

I should point out that the news is quite old already, so we still have to wait for the summer to see if they really would push through on a NANA movie sequel.

A TV drama? Maybe, but I don't think it will run alongside the anime. The anime seems to be slated for 50 episodes BTW (tentative).

I read somewhere that the actress who plays Nana(not the rocker) might drop out of the cast in the second movie because of the sex scene in the second movie, supposedly she doesnt want to ruin her clean reputation.

you mean Aoi Miyazaki (Hachi)!! That would suck because she was such a huge character in the first film. Most likely they will compromise with her or give her a better pay to play the character a second time.

I haven't read the manga yet but so far I'm really enjoying the series. I didn't really like episode 6 because of so much reused parts from EP 1 but I didn't hate it. Episode 8 in my opinion was the best yet because of the part in the music store and at the end.

Nice episode, the interraction between the two Nanas is really interesting. And the Sachiko joke lives on.
