On to more topic stuff, I mentioned it before, but what do you guys think Aizen wants from Ichigo? I mean it makes sense now why Aizen didn't just rip Ichigo's head off, because clearly he NEEDED Ichigo to grow powerful, but for WHAT reason? Make him an eternal slave with his zanpakuto release (Isn't that possible? What if this WHOLE thing was just an illusion created by Aizen lololol...for all we know Ichigo could still be just a regular human being hahaha). But seriously though, what could Ichigo's growth MEAN for Aizen? Aizen has that little orb thing in him, and it gives him some nice powers I guess, but was there something about the orb that we were told a while back that I've forgotten?

Aizen crossed dimensions to get that Shikon Jewel from that wretched InuYasha.

As for why Aizen wants Ichigo? He has a specific recipe for strawberry shortcake.

Hahaha I love it :]. Man...I miss Inuyasha, I gotta finish that series now that all them episodes are out :X. Remember watching it as a kid! Shippooo!!

Back on topic: For myself, the only things I can think of for Aizen wanting Ichigo would be:

1) yaoi harem
2) Sacrifice
3) Maybe Ichigo has further untapped powers, powers that could even surpass Aizen's, so maybe some body swapping (though I find that highly unlikely), so maybe just waiting for Ichigo to release his powers and the right kind and maybe Aizen can "suck up" all of Ichigo's powers with his little jewel thing...I mean it looked like Aizen found it tasty when he was like "mmm, you're growing just the way I want you to om nom nom"
4) He needs someone like Ichigo to reach a certain "level" before Aizen himself can release the power of the jewel, so again some kind of sacrifice or something.

3 or 4 sound like viable options, anyone else got any NON-MANGA spoiler ideas?

And does anyone know if these flashbacks will take up all of 296 as well? That's kind of frustrating...

As for Aizen, my thoughts lead me to #1, Aizen's been really touchy when it comes to Ichigo lately... "see how easily I can touch your....heart o_0"

So Aizen conveniently reveals that he planned everything in Ichigo's life, eh? That leads to the question of how it relates to Ichigo's father being a former Shinigami, which I did not know that they can even have children? They seem to have completely dropped that part of the story and never really addressed Ichigo's father.

Does Ichigo's heritage relate to how he became so powerful? Did Aizen know about this, hence chose Ichigo as the target? Wait, I got it now; Noriaki Tite Kubo is Aizen!

Back to all seriousness, Ichigo's heritage seems have been dropped. Since I don't understand how a Shinigami can have children, does that mean that Ichigo is part of an experiment? Ok, maybe I am thinking too much, since this episode was so bitter sweet.

As for why Aizen wants Ichigo to be so powerful, most likely it is to use to power the Hogyoku. He originally was supposed to sacrifice a whole town for it, but Ichigo will probably suffice...

i also have another idea about Aizen maybe hes actually good and he needs Ichigo to defeat a greater evil that he can only defeat and something thats way more powerful then all the captains that would be pretty interesting for me that is

Well thats very unlikely in a way... Aizen is basically the evil of all evils in here, if he was planning on something good, he would not go that far with killing/injuring everyone just to get Ichigo some power-ups. If there was a greater evil then Aizen.. I would like to see it.

Yeah it would be the one who planned Aizen to plan all of Ichigo's growth. And the only one who could be in position to do that right now is Gin :O! Is the mangaka gonnan pull a fast one on us :OOOOOO!!!?!?!?

The whole episode was a huge kick in the nuts.

You get the whole Aizen was plotting everything from Ichigo's birth (and probably pa Kurosaki's defection from SS) to today audience F-U.

And you get to remember how awesome the show used to be. Everythings been downhill since that episode 230+ eps ago when Aizen went all Bishi and raised up into the sky after Ichigo revealed his bankai. Just his reveal was awesome - you were wondering how cool it would be - everything was building up to a kick-ass monster bankai. And bang, you get a small, unassuming sword with a neat jacket...

Now, after I'm writing this, I'm sad again...

why not go that far the thing is with the other captains is that he never actually killed them he just injured them rlly bad?

Also, he only started seriously injuring them (with the exception of Hiyori, who he probably just hated) once Ichigo had returned with Unohana, not only bringing a healer to fix their problems but also showing that Inoue was safe, so could reject their injuries if Kido failed.
