Well, he wanted to get rid of Rolo. He should have thought about the repercussions.

I've already proven my point, Rolo killing Shirley was not something that was completely out of Lelouch's hand. I'm not trying to shift the blame on Lelouch, just point out that it wasn't completely out of his control.

Also the point in Shirley running away while Suzaku tried to protect her and have her escorted out of there, Shirley is at fault too, in a way.

I can see that view, but the other characters that are important to the series are just as complex. C.C., The Emperor, Schneizel, Rolo, and even Nina to name a few.

The less complex characters like Kallen, Cornelia, Nunnally, Euphemia, Jeremiah, Toudou, Milly and others serve as foils for the other, deeper, more complex characters. Not all the characters are all that interesting or important (Tamaki is one of these) but most of the major cast actually works to expand on the other characters for the better and most are interesting to boot.

Weird, i thought Nina was a crazy bitch with a creepy fetish for Euhemia-ish princesses. :/
I also fail to see how is she important to the show.

Well this he should have killed Rollo argument is almost as irrelevant as Suzaku should have never have used Freya argument. Both are dangerous and unpredictable elements but in the end of the day can't be discarded since they were both needed to further their goals.None of the characters are. If you argue naiveté on Lelouch's part than you have to argue for naiveté on Suzaku's part too. Lelouch really isn't in control over everything. Well maybe Shniezel and Charles but I've seen instances were shit blew up in their faces.

You see, that is only a small part of her character. She is a lot more complex than that if you look through the series. And how can you not tell she is important? Most of the events that have occurred lately are because of her after all.

I've seen the series twice fyi and all i can see, is some emo girl that is like bleh, when the moment her "goddess" as she puts it, stands up for her and then her whole life is revolving around her. I'm sorry but i fail to see the complexity here. But then again that is maybe cause i hate her chara cause racists are out of my book.

And most time, characters can considered deep and complex when they get enough screentime, so we can see a lot about them. All i've seen is Nina going all wacko about Japanese and Zero.

What about her insecurity? Her fears? What was her thought process for that to happen? Her trying to be noticed by her peers? There is a lot more to Nina than just "Crazy Nuke Bitch."

that her character has some more to it is shown in her talks with Millay and Kannon for example, since there she isn't all "All Hail Euphemia-sama!"

My complex-charas level made it to the top when i watched NGE and Nina does not exactly qualify to my complex charas.
And i'm not in the mood for a debate cause it's gonna get out of topic. "^^
{though i might admit that i might be biased to the charas i don't like, i don't really care or pay attention to them}

Nina is a rather boring character. And of course her beeing the ugliest character in the show does not help much.

Ugh... NGE......... I can go on a rant about that series.... but I won't....<.<'

And yeah, Nina may not be as complex as the whiny brats in NGE, but she is still complex. As for not paying attention to certain characters, as I said before, be open-minded and objective. It is better.

there not really that complex character to be honest other than Lelouch and Suzaku everyone else is pretty straight forward. and or we don't know what the hell they stand for as we don't have enough information I.E. the emperor, and Schneizel

If you say a bad word about Asuka i might give you bad rep. XDD

Srsly, i guess it all comes down to one's POV, i can't see Nina as a complex chara, i mean i can say that she is definitely not a typical one, but certainly not a complex one as well.

I have to disagree though. Plenty of other characters have complex personalities in Code Geass. Sure they aren't as deep as Lelouch or Suzaku, but they also aren't on screen as much. But what we do get is still good and helpful to expand on the characters.

Anya is completely straightfoward, isn't she? As an example. Hm?

She's the most mysterious character on the show right now since all that's left to know of C.C. is her name. With Anya, she's shrouded in mystery, we don't know who she is, there are discrepancies with her memories and what she writes, things taken down in her blog that she doesn't remember recording, her past with Lelouch, her possible relationship to Marianne, and just why she was presumably mindwiped by Charles. 'Everyone else', Witacume? I wouldn't call Anya 'straightforward'.

I've always thought V.V. was a complicated character. He seems to have a strong relationship with Charles, but Charles stated that V.V. lied to him. Lately... I think V.V. has been taking C.C.'s place as my favorite immortal (not that either of them are immortal anymore).

To be completely honest, I was glad when V.V got a can of whoop ass back in his face, but still, you're right, he was a complicated character.
