Perhaps it would seem obvious but why not contact the fansubbing group
who fansubbed the episodes? That would seem the obvious thing. There's also the opportunity to BUY the episodes when they are released on DVD. Locally I've seen a very nice slipcase with Belldandy on the side and one episode from the first season and then all the subsequent discs fit into that slipcase. They will likely do that with the second season possibly.

Of course, you can expect to wait at least half a year. I mean, they're not even done running all the RAW's in Japan yet. So, you'll have to wait for the series to wrap up on television, then they're going to have to run through them all, subtitle/dub them, then flesh out all the things that need dealing with for a DVD release over here.
So, you might see it around December/January, if not later. That's if they're really quick about it. |

ummm..sometimes second seasons DO get picked up by different companies in the U.S. Didnt that happen with Slayers?
So unless there was an anouncement about the rights to season two, it was unliscensed while it was being fansubbed. Now it's officially liscensed. The fansubs will almost definetly continue, they'll just be taken off AS. |

Actually, according to AnimeOnDVD, this might be a mistake.

What it does mean is that we will no longer list the torrents on AnimeSuki (just as we do not list any torrents of licensed anime). It also means that since it's considered licensed the following posts are no longer allowed

UPDATE
Some company has it, but it isn't Media Blasters. http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthr...Number=1463369 http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthr...Number=1463673 MB representative John Sirabella mentioins a company willing to DRM (=online sales of anime episodes in addition to DVDs) has it. This could be Bandai or ADV for example. |

Bad news. Media Blasters licenced the first season of Ah! My Goddess
Season 2 was licenced by ADV The first five of the six DVDs have been released by ADV. The last DVD (#6) was due out in March, but all the AMG DVDs were pulled from the ADV website recently, so there is no knowing when or if it will be released. It even more a shame since they were doing such a nice job. The art box and individual DVD case art matched the first season ones released by Media Blasters, and they kept the same voice cast for all the major characters. Sigh.

Dear God. I HATE, and I mean HATE ADV. If they're going to be jerks and license stuff, they can at least not suddenly stop producing anime. I mean, if they go out of business, doesn't that mean the series become unlicensed again?
