it seems the box containeda part of atofe's body. It will activate if opened and protect the wearer from damage. it regrew rudeus' arms , but they are black like atofe's.
doga was keeping an eys on rudi and jumped after him into the valley.
when he found rudi he was encased in a black cocoon. after doga opened it he found a fainted rudeus with dark arms.
they get out of the valley with a magic tool they found in the dragon race ruins in the valley.
it was pointed out by atofe's arm.
it seems he has some sort of telepathic connection with atofe now( my guess)
hito gami is scared as hell of rudeus. says that each time rudeus moves, his future becomes dark. and recently it became quiet.

atofe's arms now that I didn't see coming so much 4 dragon ball or magical item I was expecting the author is getting good at surprising me w8 a minute does this affect his body like now he can use touki with his brand new arms err I mean old new arms

-Rudy is back in that white place. He is depressed and thinks he has already died, and so he speaks a lot. Hitogami remains quiet. Finally he speaks, and tells Rudy to die.
-They talk, and Hitogami reveals that he can see much more than future of three people, but he uses most of his energy for his own future. It's used to be very bright, and he thought Orsted just as an idiot. But then some unknow guy appeared to Orsted's side, and his future got bit darker. Then a girl appeared, and it got bit more darker. Then Rudy appeared, and his future started become more darker more people Rudy gathered for Orsted. Now it's entirely black. But he can still turn it around if he kills Rudy.
-Hitogami tells Rudy die, die die, many times.
-Rudy asks if he is in elementary school, and wakes up.
-He has hands, but they are made of black, organic matter. His other, real hand is there with Dragon god's bracelet, so he takes it back.
-Doga has been protecting him. He jumped into the valley after Rudy, and found him in the back cocoon. When he got him out, Rudy had two black hands.
-They return to Rudy's broken armor, and Rudy finds that the blade of SG's sword was stuck in the black box he received from Atofe. It seems there was a part of Atofe's flesh in that box, and it protected him and become new arms after it was stuck with the sword.
-They try to leave the valley, but earth dragons keep attacking them.
-They find the way out, but thousands of earth dragons block the way. They see a tunnel with stairs going down. Rudy's hand points to there.
-They find Dragon race ruins with altar, and Rudy's hand points to the bottle with blue water. That water makes them invisible for earth dragons, so they use it to escape from the valley.

It's already been mentioned that if Nanahoshi's friend was summoned like her and Rudeus, there's a high chance that he was summoned to the future, instead of the timeline of Rudeus and Nanahoshi, so the present Orsted doesn't know about him yet, but the future Orsted does.

He already may have access to some techniques able to extend his lifespan from Orsted - since Dragon God lives centuries in human body and also knows that reincarnation techique thing. Rudy just not cares about such stuff.
