Favorite music genre?

Post-metal, avantgarde and dark ambient, depending on my mood.

Representative bands would be Callisto, Arcturus and Desiderii Marginis.

I love alternative rock (like Panic! At the Disco). I like when there's something that's unique about a song whether it's use of a certain instrument or a style where it ends and begins with the same thing (like "Camisado"). I also like pop music, but Auto-Tune is being overused.

Everytime someone asks me that I don't know what to say because I only have anime music in my iPod. And when you tell people J-Pop or J-Rock they don't know what it is so I get a little frustrated. >_<

I love the blues, classic rock, and classical music. Some of my favorites are Cream for classic rock, T-Bone Walker is an amazing bluesman, and classical I don't listen to much but I really enjoy it when I do. Oh, and I also really like video game music. Especially works by Koji Kondo.

rock and anything "guitarishly soloish".i feel drawn to its sound. and some classical---i have no explanation.

i couldn't decide between heavy metal and rock(why are they separated?).....so i went with rock since metal is rock anyways.

My favourite music genre is New Age, Disco, Neo-classical metal with favourite bands are: ABBA, Boney M, Modern Talking, Aqua, Toy Box (Disco); Globus, ERA, Yanni, The Bond (New Age) and Rhapsody of Fire (Neo-classical metal).

That's tough to say. I like folky stuff like Bright Eyes and Kevin Devine and a lot of accoustic music in general. I also like a bit of indie rock, but I'll listen to anything that has good lyrics and an interesting balance of instruments. Endless guitar solos bore me to tears.

Metal is my favorite style since many years (Power, Heavy, Thrash, Progressive, Symphonic, Speed, Gothic and even Melodic Death), the only sub-groups that i don't like are the brutal death, black, grind and these weird styles, all in all, i love melodic Metal!!!
