Well, I found an interesting and pretty accurate (in my opinion, at least) theory, posted on another site's forum about Tsukune's latest transformation. Posted here with minor reproductions:

Actually, Tsukune's vampire transformation was brought about by a number of factors. Originally, Tsukune only turned into a ghoul because his body was rejecting Moka's vampire blood and he himself didn't want to become a monster. The Holy Lock was introduced to gradually get Tsukune's body accustomed to the vampire blood inside him. That's why the Head Chairmen gave Tsukune the option to return home or stay enrolled as a student. He knew that if Tsukune stayed, he'd end up using his youkai power, and thus gradually gaining control over it.

It's remains unclear what direct effects the Body Modification Technique might have had on Tsukune's ghoul self, but what we do know is:

A. The technique was still incomplete since the 109th needle had yet to be inserted.

B. The Body Modification Technique forced out Tsukune's ghoul/vampire transformation. As we all know, Tsukune relies on that power in dire situations.

C. The Body Modification Technique was also stated to amplify the source of Tsukune's Youkai power. We all know the source of Tsukune's Youkai power is Moka's vampire blood(which is also Alucard's Shinso blood).


This is the most likely scenario, that the Body Modification Technique was the catalyst for Tsukune's ghoul self to transform into a vampire. It basically accelerated the process that Tsukune's body was already going through. Now that the technique is completed, it will give Tsukune's human self access to the youkai power/youjutsu of his vampire self(without under going transformation). It's also worth noting that Tsukune's Holy Lock is still intact, this means his vampire self is sealed just as his ghoul self was. In other words, he will likely only transform in the most dire of situations, just as he always has. Of course his human self will be able to handle a lot more, which means he won't have to rely on the power of his monster self as much. In other words, the Body Modification Technique resembles the magic/seal cancelling effects of the Belmont whip(except it's permanent.

So what the human modification ritual did is destroy and rebuild Tsukune's body, by accelerating the regenerative properties of Tsukune's vampire blood. Except for the fact that Tsukune himself is still human(if you can consider that human), as far as the manga is concerned. After all, the Holy Lock seals the beast inside him, which allows him to remain human. I'm guessing eventually Tsukune will become a full vampire when the final link in the Holy Lock is destroyed, unless the mangaka plans to end the series with only one link still intact, in that case he will remain human.

I like too.
For me the best change in the body Tsukune when his use the full powers (not Shinso), is the Hair change in the same color Moka hair whit out rosary and eyes red.
And instead his use the powers Shinso, i like the change in the firs season in ghoul form,those sign on the neck,something of similar.

Not bad. I think somebody had come up with a similar situation some time ago on another forum, but this seems to be the likely end result that could happen. Perhaps the stronger that Tsukune's human half becomes, the stronger his "other" half will also become in proportion to that build up. So, it could be possible that if Tsukune can go toe to toe with Akua or even Moka in his human form, then if he were to release his power, he'd actually overpower them eventually.

However, I have a feeling that if they intend to go against Aludard, that means that everyone, including Moka are gonna have to go back into training to further increase their overall strength even to the point of surpassing that of Akasha and the other dark lords.

As it stands now, Fuhai doesn't have much of his lifetime left to him, so chances are, he may end up passing on his entire arsenal of techniques on to Tsukune and his posse before he dies. If this happens before or after this current arc is yet unknown, but one can always hope that it's after Moka is brought back safe and sound for everyone to train under the old fogy and everyone could benefit from his training and not just Tsukune.

Anywhos, I think that the holy lock is going to have very little relevance now that Tsukune's body is made to accept the Vampire Yoki. Before it's because he was technically human he wasn't able to fully handle the Yoki, but now that his body has changed I don't see the point of having a suppression medium anymore.

Tsukune shouldn't need to Holy Lock anymore to which i agree, since ritual is now complete, besides even though it's still on him doesn't mean it's currently active, it could just mean he hasn't simply takin it off yet.

I'm hoping Tsukune doesn't need the Holy Lock anymore, because of that very accurate theory Chris38 posted, if Tsukune's modified body acts like the magic cancelling effect of the belmont, than the Holy Lock would be useless.

But until 42 comes out we won't know the "results" of the ritual, i hope.

I was reading Volume 4 again today and was mulling over Ikeda's translated author's notes.

there are two ways of Intrepreting it.

This is the fourth volume of Season II. I guess I'm about a third of the way into the "Whole Plot"

Now the krux of the matter is "Whole Plot"

Does it mean that he intends 12 volumes + in season II and the story will be over?

or

By "whole plot" does he include the ten original volumes meaning he intends a combined total of (14 x 3) 42 volumes

any opinions or perhaps other translations?

After all , considering chapter 30 of the first season, Tsukune still wants to stay "human", which is the reason why he trusted Hokuto so much (since, he didn't want to be forced to fight himself in the fear of "breaking" the Holy Lock, but on the other hand Tsukune wants to stay with Moka and the others and protect them, and to be able to do that Tsukune needs to keep using his "vampire abilities", basically Tsukune's is an enigma - and despite everything that has happened, I don't think that his feelings on this matter have changed, evidenced by the fact that Tsukune still considers himself as a "human" - and it will probably take some character development in the future chapters for Tsukune to resolve this matter - so I don't think that Tsukune's "Holy Lock" is going to be removed for some time..

Btw I think I'd rather see 2 Tsukune's vamp/ghoul form and Human than 2 Moka's in the future chapters of this manga.

But as for Tsukune remaining "human" with the recent developments starting from chapter 38, Tsukune is beginning to no longer care if he is human or not, whats important to him is gaining power to protect and rescue Moka and be a "shield" for everyone, as smart as Tsukune is he should understand what that means for him and he accepts it or is accepting it.

Besides in order to deepen his role for establishing peace between humans and ayashi, which that is his dream, one thing must be understood for this to happen. It's not important to "what" one is, but it's important to "who" one is, Tsukune understands this well, he realized this in the first season when he met Moka for the first time and that understanding has become more and more clear ever since then.

The first season was about Tsukune being human, the second season is about Tsukune becoming ayashi, which is what is happening now because he is evolving and he still is even with the ritual now complete.

While i agree with you that, yes, in the first season Tsukune was all about being "human", here in the second season that is not the case ever since chapter 15, Ura-Moka had question Tsukune about becoming an ayashi from that moment forward Tsukune had begin to understand and accept becoming ayashi.

I think Tsukune in the end become ibrid,now,the ritual is finished,his body accept the powers ayashi,but his humanity don't disappear.

Yes, transcedental is just
in the final chapter 41, i see his body, the change his muscle is evident.the (human) is inside his heart...,I also think Ura and Inner moka enjoi whit a new Tsukune
i wonder one day, Ura and inner fuse in one person,what a character the new Moka come?

Since chapter 27, Ikeda's aim is to merge both Ura-Moka and Omote-Moka, so who knows what kind of personality will be born as a result, but itle definitely be someone Tsukune will love

But i'm very interested in seeing that future event.

Summary for chapter 41 is out, but the only thing i saw that was off is the confusion between Akasha's and Alucard's Shinso blood, which it's actually Akasha's Shinso blood that Tsukune has inherited through Moka that Touhou Fuhai confirms, but it's a good summary

Little update/Shameless plug here, for people who remain interested in the fic I started a couple of months ago, I am doing a second chapter, I'd say I'm well over halfway done with it by now, and it should be finished relatively soon.

So yeah, just wanted to throw that out there because I don't do A/N updates on the actual fic sites themselves, because then it makes it appear as though the author has posted a new chapter when in reality it's just a short message, and that's disappointing.
