Sailor Mercury (or Ami whatever.) Her Personality was similar to an old friend of mine because she was the brains of the group (as for me I was probably the Usagi of our group XD)
Zakuro Fujiwara from Tokyo Mew Mew. In my own opinion I consider her one of the strongest mew mews and I love how she was portrayed as a lone wolf.

What an old thread full of anachronistic avatars
Homura Akemi and Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fuu Inubouzaki from Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero, and Erika Kurumi from Heartcatch! PreCure ...actually now I'm curious to see what others would answer after the magical girls have had several years to change

Homura Akemi from Madoka Magica, because she's a yuri badass with a rocket launcher, what's not to love!
Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa, and Hayate Yagami from Nanoha, as far as design, I prefer the adult versions, but the anime is good throughout- Nanoha's OTT: One True Threesome! With plenty of badass and DAT ASS! I guess I like my magical girls badass, with a dark, yet compelling backstory, and yuri shipping. |

Zakuro Fujiwara from Tokyo Mew Mew. She was the first magical "girl" I saw which didn't really look like a teen at all and that gave me lots of interesting story ideas about a "magical woman". She's beautiful, silent yet sharp-tongued... what's not to love?
Akemi Homura from Madoka. Her backstory and character growth were very well-done and her main conflict throughout the series is essentially the main appeal of the Madoka series IMO. Fate Testarosa from Nanoha. She was my favorite female character at one point. Liked her design, her tragic backstory and her serious & loyal personality. Also yuri shipping with Nanoha helped, I guess But ultimately, the one who takes the cake is Shizuku Sangō from Kampfer. A smart, foxy and manipulative girl who makes bold advances on the harem thick-headed MC. She has a great balance between being a "tenager" and a "woman", which is rare among magcal girls. She's also the only one who seriously tries to figure out the lazy plot and she steals the whole show hands down for me.

I've watched a lot of magical girl series, so I have a few. But, here are some of them:

Cure Magical from Mahoutsukai Precure - I like her hairstyle, and she has the voice of my favorite voice actress Yui Horie.
Cure Miracle from Mahoutsukai - well, her partner is my favorite. So I grew to like her too. She and Cure Magical are badass when they fought the giant skeleton boss. Akemi Homura and Kaname Madoka - like them both, and by the success of their anime - very sure that many other people like them. Kaitou Saint Tail - classic magical girl that I followed on TV years ago. Was amazed by her magic tricks and cuteness. Followed her anime to the end.
