The difference in power and skill is way too big that there is a chance of defeating her now.
Prisicialla is just bored and apathic.
She could have killed the three in an instance if she desired so.

I guess they get somehow away, perhaps with the help of Miria.

As for "wedge", it does say 楔 (kusabi) meaning:
- (n) (1) (uk) wedge; (2) linchpin; lynchpin; link pin

So as stupid as it sounds, it is the most acurate translation.

i didn't read the English translation coz i know Chinese, but then, i read the English just now, when i read "Jean's Big Wedge"... XDDDDDDDD

the Chinese version is "A wedge called Jean", it tones down a bit, much less hilarious i think..

well...i was hoping the story wasn't going to veer away from the priscilla/clare battle, but i was pleasently surprised to see dietrich again...considering the fact that yuma was able to regenerate cynthia to the extent that she did, AND still put up a fight against those creatures, i think it stands to reason that shes much more powerful than anyone probably thought
i'm really hoping that dietrich being there means miria's nearby...

i miss miria and galatea..

i always thought that the only way clare can get out from priscilla is with miria's help.. carrying her like a baby and flee...
and i thought that clare couldn't awaken becoz galatea was controlling her yoki far away, but i was wrong..

While it's the most accurate, use of the English language has to be applied. Since "wedge" isn't a word used to describe something inside the mind, it should have been replaced with "block." Well, we knew what so she meant anyway, lol.

See my above post... I mean the post above that one... The used translation was of a Japanese to Chinese to English... so it made less sense. It wasn't a direct translation of the RAW. As spotted in the above post by Sassarai... the proofreader didn't even spot Jean being called a he and not a she in the translation.

Actually, here is the original Japanese word:
楔 (くさび) :: wedge | link pin

It is true that it is a shamelessly bad job to miss such an obvious translation error when you're inserting it into the text. Does anyone know whether they actually did proofread anything?

Why is everyone jumping the gun?

Frankyhouse was unbelievably stupid for somehow finding what Weis wrote down, yet not reading that it wasn't perfect. I'm not sure how you can miss that, yet end up using it. Even worse, they didn't credit him either. Those guys at the masters at rush-jobs, no wonder I don't read anything until we get something based on Gernot.

We also didn't figure out what caused Claire to de-awaken. Deneve's theory is just that, a theory. It's simply based around everything she knows about Claire.

Yep, though it brings two questions :
- who is the fanservice girl in this series? Deneve or Priscilla?
