Does it have to be J-pop? if not, then
Joy division-Heart and soul. 70+ songs from joy division and from the early days of warsaw. pure greatness. How one band made so many amazing tracks and influence so many bands in shuch a short period of time is beyond me. The jesus and mary chain-Psycho Candy Such an underrated band. Pixies- Pixies at the BBC They're the pixies, live at the bbc. |

Gundam Seed - Shoot. I listened to it continuously while reading Detective Conan's manga, and now it is the Conan song for me.
Most slow songs from many anime OSTs can be listened to continously. Like from HnG, Kokoro, Tomadoi, Omoi Afureta, first part of Get Over extended version, etc... |

anime music ....
There are 7 or 8 tracks from the AIR CD I can listen to until other people run screaming away. The pianowork is simple but wondeful.... and the vocals.. <squeal>. Though its not part of the series ... "Maze in the Dark" on Evangeline's character CD from Negima .. both the amped up and the orchestral versions. Team Hinoi's Ike Ike (god help me) and their other europoppish tunes from Ichigo 100% A number of tunes from the Love Hina series I regularly pull up.... I really like the PPD OPs .... love 'em for their retro feel. I like most of the Sousei Aquarion tune that I can't recall the name of .... there's a 2/4 chorus piece of it that irks me though.

I'll be the oddball for posting these 2 song.
Prince of Tennis last OP/ED(Dream Believer/Little Sky) Really like the feel of these 2 songs Mirai Koukai - one of the ED for One Piece I dont watch the anime, yet it captivated my heart.... Shine - ED for Hellsing English song in an japanese anime by a non-japanese....very smooth feeling to it. Mai Hime OP/ED(Shining days/Kimi ga Sora datte) Good feel to both, especially ED. Mai Otome OP/ED(Dream Wing/Otome wa DO MY BEST desu?) Both are nice songs that aren't too heavey, ED really stole my heart with its catchy yet not-so-childish feel that it presented itself with. Karin OP/ED(Scarlet/Mou Hitosu no Birthday) OP getting abit screechy to me but still a nice song. ED was really nice and smooth with the bg music. Innocence - ED for Shuffle! What can I say....Im a sucker for such voices and music. Life - 4th Bleach ED Really like the music accompanying the superb voice. Tsubasa wa Pleasure line - OP for Chrno Crusade Sung by the same person who did "Shining days"(Mai Hime), really catch tune. aozora - AIR Being the last song on my music jukebox list, really calms down whatever excitement effects the first 12 songs gave, basically "resseting" my inner self to calmness. There goes my little rant. |

Hmmm... these have to stand out from the bulk.
Tori no Uta, Aozora, Natsukage - AIR OST - AIR, need I say more? xD Ri -the Law-, Tsuki Warabe -Moon Child- - ARIA AIR Arrangement - Both tracks are much more powerful, which gives a heavier emotion. Gentle Jena/Jane, Winter's Tale, Perfectly Human - Planetarian - Gentle Jena is SO relaxing and at the same time, emits a feeling of flying soaring. Winter's Tale is just relaxing while Perfectly Human is a tragic song (win). Rumbling Hearts, Precious Memories - KGNE OST, Minami Kuribayashi Best Album Overture - it's just to great. Rumbling Hearts really gives out a sad feeling especially if you know the story. Precious memories kind of emits a somewhat bittersweet feeling, perfectly matches the story. Fake Wings, The World - .hack//SIGN OST - Fake Wings emits a relaxing and semi sad song for me while The World gives out an adventurous feel. Re-Sublimity, Agony, Rime, Wing my Way, etc - KOTOKO - Techno-ish pop-ish (whatever, I'm not good with classifying music) that are great. |

final fantasy 7, aeris' theme, tifa's theme and the prelude..
if we're talking about jap stuff, i'd say the next one i gundam seed's river.. really good song IMO. music in general, my top 3 would be 1, the acoustic version of push by matchbox twenty, talk show on mute by incubus and babyface's when can i see you again. U2 songs, i like their famous ones, but my favourite is Kite and In a little while. i don't know, it has a certain vibe that really caught me. |
