Avicebron had a dream to re-create life after witnessed the carnage & destruction the war has brought in his time. But with Eden the Golem? That was too twisted for his "noble cause", even more so by sacrificing Roche as Eden's vessel. Now that he died with Eden, all of his noble wisdom to create life... wasted.
Great episode of the week, btw. Pretty much it's officially Team Jeanne vs Team Shirou instead of Black vs Red. Really like how Sieg & Mordred tag along to defeat Avicebron/Eden. Jeanne is developing feelings for Sieg, the ship is sailing now! Whilst I'm getting a diabetes from Sieg x Astolfo. The 2nd half of Apocrypha - Battle of Rulers: Team Jeanne: Sieg, Astolfo, Mordred, Kairi, Chiron, Fiore, Claudis, Gordes Team Shirou: Semiramis, Shakespeare, Karna, Avicebron Rouge: Atalanta, Achilles, Jack, Reina |

Review recap.
You can tell why Avicebron sided with Shirou in the opening of the episode. Just like him, his goal is to save the world, so why wouldn’t he side with the person who will give him a chance at bringing Eden to the world. He was a misanthropist, something that Shirou also seemed to be given that he considered Sieg becoming more like a person or Servant as a downgrade, but they both seemed to have the same idea in mind, fulfilling it in their own ways. Mordred also seemed to share some kinship with Sieg in this episode, being pretty buddy-buddy with him despite trying to kill him a few episodes ago. Then again, she can probably relate to him considering her backstory. Her MVP status remains unsullied though, and it’s looking like she’s going to be in it for the long-haul.

Loved those comparation of mordred as a yankee and others, was pretty funny. We're in the 'servant of the week' phase till we face again Red Ruler for the grial, still what a chapter. |

If Sieg needs to use a command spell when he wants to transform, then that means he can only transform one more time. And if he does, it will cost Astolfo his life since he won't have a master anymore. I guess Jeanne could give him more command spells, but she seems surprisingly stingy (then again, I have no idea how many she carries)
Mordred seems to have changed her mind about Sieg, even being willing to work with him. I like her better when she acts this way.

It's a good thing Caster was pretty stupid and just walked into a death trap. I mean seriously if he just needed to wait for his golem to become invincible....just stand around quietly. No one will make a move in time! I'll just presume that Caster's master somehow influenced the golem to walk somewhere where it could be killed. He didn't seem that determined when his consciousness disappeared, but at least it's a theory.
Mordred really seems to flip flop between being a pretty good person and not really being that. Agree that she sure got over her issues with Sieg pretty quickly after they fought. But hey, appreciate it when she's got entertaining spunk to her. Probably a good idea to try and negotiate for some command spells since her master was using them like crazy last time.

Not gonna lie, I felt a little bad for Roche there. Maybe it's because Miyuki Sawashiro really brings out the energy in the roles she plays or just the situation genuinely demanding "all the help you can get wherever it comes" otherwise, I'd be annoyed at the constant flip-flopping of Mordred's character.
Aw well, the overall bargaining scene and Sieg's comment at the end was gold. |

What's coming next, and possibly not from the same side but from a standalone faction, is a cute, little girl walking with her mommy on a serial killing spree around town while having for lunch the literal hearts of magicians, townspeople, homunculi, etc. or whatever being that nourishes her mana happening to cross paths with her.

Wow, Malkuth might be one of most broken Noble Phantasms in the Fate short of Ea. The whole thing is just one huge self perpetuating Reality Marble you probably need a conceptual weapon to destroy at it's completion.
I really don't understand how Grail Wars get downplayed in Nasuverse when you have things like this can change the nature reality it self. That not even get into the Grail itself. If this is what a minor ritual looks than major one beyond nuts. Last edited by Applehell; 2017-10-11 at 10:21. |

Really happy about the episodes, felt things in the beginning was slow, but that motives are up and about, finding it entertaining in a way that I only see in Fate-stuff.
What was the point of Caster neogiating the safety of his master when he just used him as the core 5 minutes later Lol @ Ruler's like "Don't believe a boy when he says 'i'm fine'" She knows type-moon males well. Wonder how many command spells does Ruler have. Thought it was amusing that Mondred gets teleported by Ruler and fights along with all the ones she fought against 1v1 (minus that loli assassin of course)
