Deities can change a falna to be in a convertible state at any time. The last time Astraea saw Ryuu, Ryuu was begging her to leave Orario and not come back. It makes sense for her to change the contract at that time.

No, it is one of the colored pics in the volume. They always show a colored pic like this with the word sample before the volume is released.

I really like the expression and gesture of Loki in that new cover btw. Hopefully she'll be quite active in this new volume, considering she 's one of the 2 most interesting characters to follow in this spin off (with Finn Deime) imo.

Sorry I wasn't clear, what I meant was the illustration wasn't made just for Melonbooks but it is a pic from the volume that was used for the bonus cover. Melonbooks do this for all LN, or at least I know they do this for all GA Bunko series

Bell’s party, sans Bell, is trapped on 25th floor when the tree on the 24th floor fall down from ceiling and block all escape routes, thus forced to fight the monster rex Amphisbaena.

I read the Sword Oratoria light novel 10 synopsis. A bit surprise on what was happening behind the scene. I kind of don't like it when Bell appear in the Sword Oratoria volumes. It feels like the main vol. storyline is altered. If it was unrelated to the main volume I wouldn't care, but when it overlap with the main series it feel weird.

I just realized something.

If the Dungeon have protection when a large percentage of the floor is being damage wouldn't it have done something (in sword vol. 3) when the 59 floor was altered into a jungle by the demi-spirit? If it was only a portion of the floor being altered the dungeon wouldn't have done anything but a whole floor?

Perhaps the Dungeon consented to the change. The spirit was corrupted and it with it's power it would be an extremely effective guardian. As demonstrated it pushed the Loki familia's elites, some of the most powerful people in the entire city likely in the top 50 or maybe even the top 20, to the absolute brink and almost killed them all if their memory of Bell's earlier triumph hadn't driven them to overcome what five seconds before had been a hopeless situation.

It's not about killing enemies, it's about breaking the dungeon itself. Furthermore, it's using a very specific characteristic of those floors that the dungeon count as one (meaning, all damages done on every floors in that area are counted as damages for one single floor, which makes it far easier to reach the required damage threshold)
