A simultaneous (digital) release? Preordered as soon as it's available!

So I've been slowly reading the new novel and it really does feel like most of the thing is the author poking fun at himself over the series. I'm currently at a bit where the SOS-dan is discussing how someone writes everything they say without quotation marks and blends it into the narration... Is it just me or is this incredibly meta? Cause that's the main stylistic note of the Haruhi series: that Kyon is a first person narrator that blends his own thoughts with what he says and we're never quite sure of what's what.

Probably. It would make sense for their project to be in the same style as the novels, since their film was also similar to how their lives are really like. All without Haruhi noticing.

It's 2024 but there's a new novel coming out I hope soon, probably another collection of stories but it's still something. Haruhi hasn't died yet boys!!

The speculation I've seen is that it's a collection of old short stories that were never compiled into a novel. Maybe with an extra new short story added in there. Sadly, not much to advance the plot proper.
