dont try to make sense of an anime
its like when people try to find what the author was thinking when he wrote a book, like there was a hidden meaning or something...sometimes they just write out of their ass you know...
as I see, they just made some non sense end so people can wonder what happened...there's no right or wrong, just a bunch of different opinions.
but well, feel free to discuss it

Yeah, I know, we MIGHT read in to it too much. But I really think that the creators left SOME kind of message behind for us to figure out... so, keep on working!

Yeah, and I think that message Gonzo is sending is "We're making Chrno Crusade 21!" lol

(If anyone already mentioned anything about a possible sequel in this thread, then I'm sorry that I mentioned it. Kinda lazy to go through all those posts. =P)

I was hoping it this series was a 26 episode so they can beter explain things more clearly like the 2 minutes of the damn series.

Anyways back to the ending. By now everybody should know that Chrno and Rossette is dead and that it was an extremely sad ending. I mean when you see Rossette cry and saying that she doesn't want to die it really made my heart melt. I thought back to the previous episodes of how they were happy and especially in the casino when Chrno was checking Rossette out in her red dress. She looked really ^_^ and how she said he can keep staring her ass if he wants. I find that comic relief to be very devestating seeing how they are now even makes the ending way more impossible and sad. Does anybody here agree with that?

I just watched it and i dont Believe Aion still around.
its more like there we'll always be a person like Aion to shake the very fondations of the world. Thats what Remington saw was another person trying to seek descruction and it reminded him of Aion.

Still, it's another demon who is trying to make hell-in-heaven (or whatever), just like Aion. So it doesn't matter if it's not Aion and a person who seeks destruction, it's still the same; just another person.

I think Aion's reincarnation meant that there is a part of evil in all of us. Chaos brings order and vice versa. The Yin & Yang or whatever you may call it.

I dont see why most people despise this ending just because Aion shows up at the end rendering all the effort shown in the series useless. It perfectly pictures how humanity as a whole is plain stupid and keeps making the same mistakes again, and again, and again, almost following the pattern shown in Hegel's works (aka social determinism or historical cycles)

All in all I think the originality of the ending (for once we can see how evil wins as it usually happens in the real world) partially saves up a mediocre adapatation of the manga... well that's just me

Meh, I don't care if another demon takes his place. All I want is Aion DEAD! If he's dead it kinda gives the impression that Chrno and Rossette's sacrafices were not in vain.

HE is DEAD.... him at the end was symbolizing the continuation of evil that is deeply embeded in our very souls.

My first good look at Aoin, " I *knew* it, Milliard Peacecraft is Devil himself!".

My reaction to Aoin on realizing he apparently masterminded the Pope assassination attempt, "So I guess even Aoin has some redeeming qualities.... But Milliard Peacecraft is still Devil himself!"

That's what I think.. more like where there is light, there is darkness. That kind of concept.

I think when good dies, it reborns again, same with evil.. But, if this is true, it's sad, just like the Chrno and Rosette thingy.

I miss Satella the most, and Fiore Eh, everyone had to die =/

OMG I really liked this last episode, the part where they´re sitting in the sunset and Rosette is crying... it just felt so human.
Seeing Azmarias vision of them living out the last 6 months just made me feel so... warm inside.

I havent seen such a powerful, sad, and a good ending in ages !

Just watching them sitting on the porch, together holding hands made my brain hit the "CRY, YOU MORON" button.

"MOM !! WERE OUT OF TISSUES !!"
"what?! I just bought 5 boxes yesterday"
"Yeah but i used em all, can you go run to wal-mart and buy some more?"

Ain't it so. I watched the ending raw first and cried quite a lot, and was depressed for a while after.
Just 5 minutes ago I finished the subbed version... I don't feel as depressed as before after, but my face is all sore after all that salty water crap starts pouring from my eyes... I better go find a doctor now, or something else to fix the leaks in my eyes.
