I'll just wait for my roommate to buy it and then mooch off of him when he's done with it (which will probably be around 2 weeks after purchase). You think I'd PAY for a CoD game? Pfffft.
Aside from that, I do like how they're at least trying to innovate instead of doing the exact same thing they've been doing the last 3 or 4 games. Can't wait to see how Halo Effect: Future Warfare plays out.

i dont know what to feel about that abuse of neon lights i see in the trailer, it feels more cyberpunk than futuristic, and certainly the music didnt help, if i close my eyes i can picture more a mass effect trailer than a COD one.

I very much dislike COD for being the same thing over and over ever year...
That said, this game has somewhat caught my eye. It gives off a different feel than all of the other games, and some of the things look interesting. Like when they deploy their riot shields and there's that heat thing that can be deployed to tactically block areas. That's actually freaking awesome and might bring some strategy into the game. Just as a side note, people can bash COD all they want for being the same but you know who's to blame? The consumers... If they didn't lap up the game every year then Activision would catch on and stop pumping them out all the time. Who can blame them honestly... They're a business after all, it is their goal to make money and they've seen that this makes them money so they keep doing it. It's completely understandable. |

And guess what - this could be completely justified given the ambient technology level. Perhaps the result of a personal version of things like the AN/TPQ-36... which could be a loadout option rather than a default.
And speaking of loadouts, a couple of things:

I know you're giving a hypothetical example, but you can't spawn with a minigun lol. You could, however, not allocate your points towards perk slots and more for weapon attachments, wildcards, etc.
btw, the Death Machine from Black Ops is making a comeback, but it's its own score streak now. |
