-Hmm... So in the anime, they have X as Selen's baby, and those crazy worshipers took X and killed Selen. And X saw all of this, thus being able to transform into her.
And the explanation (somewhat) that X can transform is that Selen really was a witch.
Prefer the manga explanation, mostly because there is actually living proof of his roots, not just some guess and unexplained phenomenon as a witch like here.

Evil Lavender... Haha... I see. So this was the replacement for that doppleganger fight in the manga; where's the blood...

Err... That was a unique way to use Evil Aqua...

So X remains alive in the end, and still free and crazy, and his puzzle remains uneaten... (-_-)
Too much drama, considering there is no way Neuro would permanently disappear.

Well, for a filler, it wasn't too bad. Kind of interesting, though there are moments...

And for the ED... they stuff in manga characters that never appeared in the anime...

And so the anime ends.
Neuro is pretty much one of the most unique protagonist I've seen, and well as one of the strongest (if not the strongest). Besides for a certain father character, Neuro is one of my top favorite male.

For an anime only end I thought Neuro did quite a good job.
They were able to put closure on the two main mysteries in the anime (Yako's father's case and X). Alot of anime only endings seem to just make random climaxes wherever the anime ends up which leave half of the mysteries unsolved.
The anime staff seemed to put in a chance for a sequel (Of course this won't ever happen) but fortunately there isn't anything that has to be explained so that's OK.

At the moment I don't think I really care that they changed Yako's father's murderer. In the manga his death really seemed to just be a way to get Neuro to Yako. Although I've only read Cafe Poisoning Case to Aya Asea Case + 1st Brothers Case so it might affect her more in other cases.
In the anime though it seemed to affect her more. I liked how anime!Yako was one of the people influenced by Aya's singing. Several of the fillers were interesting as well. Some of the episodes could of used more polish though (2 in particular) and HAL could of gone for one more episode I think. However as a whole I liked it.

The whole last arc in Africa is anime-original. It never happened in the manga. Manga itself has not ended.

Does anyone know if there'll be another season for neuro series? I liked it and I think it'll be a shame to end it for only 25 episodes when we have 16 volumes out there..

Unfortunately, nothing has been announced for a second season.

But since they introduced Ai (kind of... she gets one appearance...), they might? Otherwise... why would they do that...

Read it. It's a great manga! And it's different from the anime in several (good) ways.

Yeah, it ends at 25 episodes. Could have gone on for many more episodes though.

I really hate to bring a thread back from the dead, but has anyone heard any news on a second season, or even when it might be dubbed? There were a heap of rumours going around at the start of the year (mainly about a dub), but now it seems Neuro is done for... I did a little research and it churned out no results, so I'm trusting you, Suki users!

The opposite of a question that was asked 'recently', how good is the anime when compared to the manga? Personally I find the manga series to be one of the best I'm currently reading, with a very interseting and well characterized cast. How well does the anime fare?

If you look at the anime as a seperate thing, it is decently interesting, but compared to the manga, it is very downgraded. A lot of scenes that try to tell the reader something (one of the parts that make this manga so much better than similar Shonen ones like D.Gray-Man), for instance, were taken out. A good example is the Bomb Terrier or whatever her name's chapters... X has a different background, Ai doesn't exist (she makes one really random appearance for some reason though), and characters are skipped. They do add a character from the novel though.

A lot was original, so you should just start from the beginning. Because even the chapters it followed was pretty different from the manga... (-_-)
