I got bored so i made a spoof signature for Hayate no Gotoku.

I had to compress it down a bit cause of the size restriction so lost a bit of details.
But it's up for grab if anyone wants it.

I thought that part was funny. It almost makes it a dig at those who would take legal action for something that innocuous.

To be fair to the companies, there are legal reasons for taking action, even when you don't want to do so (at least according to American law), because if you have a trademark (like Gundam) and you let people use it, it can become a generic term (think Kleenex, for example), and then you have a much weaker case if you want to stop someone who is doing something like putting out their own "Gundam" merchandise.

Japanese politics are a little diferent than the ones at this side of the world, mainly in regards of things like difusion (for example the existance of doujins). However what you are saying is true and many companies lost their names because the (comercial) names of their products were used to denominate the product itself (like Birome -pen-) or other not good things like McJobs (wich oficialy means "Poorly remunerated mechanycal job").

I have to agree that the voice work has been stellar. Maria, as I am certain you know, is voiced by Rie Tanaka. She played Mariel in two series that (along with a very bad Elvis Presley movie) inspired my login name. Rie Kugimiya is Rie Kugimiya. She's what peaked my curiosity about the series.

The real kicker for me is Norio Wakamoto. I wasn't a really big fan of Soul Link, but I always was happy to see his character on screen. I thought his work as Onsokumaru in 2x2 = Shinobuden was comic genius. Without the help of subtitles, I can't understand a word he says, and I still think he's one of the funniest actors on the planet. I laughed so hard from his reaction to the false ending, my head hurt.

One of the funniest series that deserve much more recognition than it has got. Wakamoto-san really had fun by voicing Onsokumaru.

episode 2 was interesting and funny!!
i had to re-watch episode two to understand Hayate's interpretation of being a "pirate king"

I am thrilled with the news of Hinagiku appearing soon, but at the same time it leaves me wondering how this will play out. Aren't they gonna skip out on a lot of characters' introduction if they jump to the school arc right away?

Nah, I'm sure they will return for Isumi and the others. It only underlines the importance of Hinagiku that they're introducing her so very early.

Its second episode and the love triangle has already set its wheels in motion Maria is indeed dismissive of Hayate but starts changing her views. Maria’s views on Hayate and Nagi were the highlight of the show.( 9.42 onwards )

W-What should we do about these two naturally empty minded people?

(As an explanation: Hinagiku is the girl with pink long hairs. She's one of the best characters in recent anime years and (not only) my personal favorite: She recently pulverized the opposition in the latest character popularity contest, netting more than twice the number of votes than second place - Maria. I expected having to wait for her for at least 2 months, but there she is. YAY!)

I thought that Maria and Nagi didn't look exactly like they do in the manga, but that's only very minor. Can't wait to see the next episode.
