For a location that rarely gets more than a few inches of snow the entire winter, my region got 19" in a week ... more than ever recorded since "white man" first moved into the Pacific Northwest. Totally overwhelmed the services (and the unskilled drivers).

It snowed here, too, which I guess, is the only natural weather condition at my place (Russia, Moscow). It's interesting to note, however, that at the beginning of december there was absolutely no sign of snow. I started to think that perhaps it's influenced by the climate change but no, it's back to normal now. The chill is ok too, though, these days it's just a few degrees below zero. It is considered warm.

Snow is nice to look at but that is all. The other day was beautiful as the whole place, where I live, was absolutely covered in white. What is more is that the sun was out shining really brightly and the entire setting looked really nice! A hot day with lots of snow.
I dislike walking in the snow though as it proves quite difficult. When the snow begins to perish it just leaves thick layers of ice and I absolutely hate walking on slippery ice, with a passion! I do like to see snow once in a while but that is all. Other than that I detest snow and especially what it leaves in its wake...ICE! |
