I don't remember their age gap, just to check if there could be the twist that Ritsu was too young to remember exactly Uta's birth. But I agree that the story seems definitely following the blood related route. And I hope Ami doesn't turn out to be an antagonist. Don't make me hate her.

Given by author's tweets her intention from beginning was always blood related relationship. So unless forcefull change by orders from above happens, there is nothing to worry. Not mention that there is not much space for such twist anymore. Parents already were clearly shown to have traits of both of their children. Mother's line also implied that Uta is related to both parents. So only leaving posibility would be forced reveal of Ritsu alone being adopted, but it would be believable at this point?
