Plot Summary:

Kaminashi Nozomi (17) is an exceptional gymnast. So much so that colleges with some of the best gymnastic programs are trying to recruit her. Unfortunately for them, she has other plans. Due to her family being extremely poor, money is everything to her. That's why she wants to step into the world of "Keijo." "Keijo" is a type of gambling sport where girls stand on a small floating platform and compete against one another. The aim is to push the other contestant off of the platform into the water, but they are only allowed to use their butt or breasts to push the others off. Will Nozomi be able to compete in the intense world of "Keijo" and bring wealth and fortune for her family?

Manga 'Keijo!!!!!!!!" is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Wow, one of those unexpected adaptations. I've read this to around 20-odd chapters but it didn't strike me as one of those that'd get an anime.

From what I read of the synopsis, it looks like some over the top sport fanservice show but hey it's not like I'm not going to expect some substance out of it. I said the same thing about Free! when I first watched it and it comes off as a pleasant surprise, so why not giving this anime the same treatment?

The setting is fairly silly and later on the characters get as over the top as you can imagine but the way it displays competitive sports is surprisingly good. There is also barely any excessive fan service in the manga so no worries there either. Although this wouldn't be the first time the anime adds unnecessary elements ... (Freezing comes to mind)
