Well i'll try to explain you why i understand that.Let's try to Say it (Talk) ^^.
Notice the " . " , there are Two Sentences . I don't know for you , but when i end a sentence like " He's Idiot " And after i say " Shame on you if you thought so" It means that the Affirmation i made before was like if i said " Clock gives time " ( For french we call that a sentence of general truth)and then i tell you that it's not true anymore ( Like for some debates , One start to say what the opposite said , and then he said " That's not true"). But ,i understand what you mean , but i think that if it was the case, Frederica would have say " Furude Rika and Frederica are Different . Shame on you if thought the opposite or Shame on you if you didn't thought so" But i can understand what you mean. Frederica never talk simply . so if it turned "Furude Rika and Frederica are different" as a question . I guess it would be easier. But once again , i think that's a way to see thing. But when i read this message ,that's what I understand ^^". I Might be wrong , i guess i am. But poems , and especially these ones (like geosthe's one) can be understand of many different meanings right ?

Risa-chan, I know that, I simply though that it lost its meaning during it's translation in english. Things like that can happen right? Also, if I'm correct, this message from Bernkastel comes during or between Himatsubushi-hen and Meakashi-hen and with the poem in Himatsubushi, it is highly implied that Frederica = Rika. I thought that this message from Frederica was simply there to break any theories that Frederica is in fact Rika for the time being.
I don't want to read 44 pages and me being sick right now doesn't help either. |

I have a question about Himatsubushi-hen...
How many years in the past is it from the current Higurashi? The anime says 3 years, but a manga translation I read said 5/6 years. Is it just an error in the manga translation,or did the anime get it wrong? Edit: Oh wait,I get it now. But,wait, didn't the anime say it was 3 years in the past? Maybe it was a mis-translation?

And if one wants to be technical, Himatsubushi-hen occurs entirely in 1983 after the great Hinamizawa disaster has taken place, as the part set in the June of 1978 is what Akasaka describes as having happened during his visit at the time.

Please check the spoilers thread instead, there are MANY posts explaining who Frederica Bernkastel is.
Asking for questions of such kind would be required in the spoiler thread not here (the first post you made was in the correct thread).
