That's a little disappointing, but I'll look forward to this all the same. I do like Shougi, and a good drama/mystery. As long as they manage the sport theme well enough (a genre I usually dislike; HnG and Yakitate Japan were the only 'sporty' series I've liked in the past =p) it should be good.

I've come across a few scanslated chapters in the past and the series looks promising. It's a hell of a lot more serious than the typical sports-based story (heck, how many of them start by mentioning the murder of the protagonists parents?).
Although my knowledge of shougi is nil, the characters were interesting and realistic enough to keep my attention. This is also the only story that I know of wherein one of the characters Spoiler for It's a trap!:
