sorry to bring this up one more time but have to say sorry folks but about it getting Licensed is a false info. it seem's someone on PukiWki input the wrong thing so it's pretty much still unLicensed as i can see on Wikipedia. so far ONLY the first season and one OVA is Licensed but the Movie and sec season is still unLicensed. until there's strong proof that it is licensed but until then its all good.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakugan_no_Shana anyways I wonder what's the OP song going be like for the Sec season hope it's good as the first OP boy i loved the OPing for the first season used to listen to it non-stop at home and at work. |

You shouldn't rely on Wikipedia for such momental information in the first place, no matter how right it was this time. But yes, it is unlicensed; this was explained a few pages back.
I have doubts about the second season ever getting a license because of the whole Geneon USA fiasco. Quite sad to see a long-time R1 distributor disappearing in such a manner. |

Well, although Geneon USA may no longer be a distributor/licensor (we'll see), they'll probably still be around to represent Geneon's own titles (like Shana) in the U.S., and I can't see it not being picked up by someone given its popularity. The difference may be that we won't see Geneon U.S.A. in the production credits this time around -- we'll see...

Actually, having their name in the credits and it being a co-production with them doesn't mean that it's pre-licensed to them. Some Geneon USA co-production anime weren't even pre-licensed, and some even ended up being licensed to ADV.
Geneon didn't even initially have the OVA or the Shana-tan specials and had to acquire them. |

Checking on wikipedia, and i see nothing on the episode count --- has it been mentioned at all yet? Though i'm guessing 24/26.

Nope. Anime character designs will look a lot different from the original Itou Noiji ones. The closest adaptation of her designs has to be the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu anime (Kyoto Animation; Ikeda Shouko). The Nanatsuiro★Drops anime was pretty close to her originals as well (Studio Barcelona; Ibe Yukiko).
