don't quote me, but i thought they were slimming down the number of professions. ie, merging them into a smaller number. kinda like what they did with Aion.

http://www.guildwars2.com/en/
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/...icles-f31.html Filled with threads of many interviews.

I've been quite impressed with the new information, finally! And there's more to come. There are some parts that made me a bit worried such as the 10 skillbar system, the first five slots you can't choose the skills you want to put in as it depends on what weapon you're using. The other five you can choose what skills you want (depending on you're profession of course), but two dedicated for healing skills and elite skills. It feels a bit restrictive, but I hope it works.

Sad that they removed secondary professions, but I can understand because of racial skills along with the primary profession. It would have felt like a tri-class system, though the dual-class system is in a new form (profession/race). Along with the secondary profession they also removed the Companion system (henchmen/heroes equivalent) since all professions are good solo without them.

They mentioned that there's going to be 8 professions: 3 Scholars, 3 Adventurers and 2 Soldiers. Elementalists are already revealed as one of the Scholars class, two others were mentioned in some interviews, Warrior is Soldier class and Ranger as Adventurer class. I think Mesmer and Necro/Rit combo will be the other two scholars, Assassin as another adventurer and Paragon/Monk combo as soldier.

I look forward to the environmental usage and the Event system, it's like public quests but more dynamic with many different outcomes depending on the players' actions. Plus they're scalable and are like easter eggs scattered throughout the world.

its amazing how the elementalist in the video "Meteor shower" where she attunes fire (not sure if this is attuning the element) and creates an impact of flame in the area, amazing effects...one of the classes I will be making for sure.

Good thing they still have the buy it once, play for free forever option. Hard enough paying off textbooks and tuition fees by itself.

In terms of gameplay, the weapons intrigue me, especially the offhand ones. You got your standard shield/offhand weapons like daggers and whatnot but torch and horn?

Another thing being that things in the environment are weapons as well. I plan on playing an Assassin/Ranger so I could just chuck it at someone but an elementalist would be able to use it as a meteor or so they say in the descriptions.

Very, very cool. Another must get for me.

Oh Sweet Jesus, warrior is as impressive as I thought it was gonna be.
Always wanted a Charr warrior and it looks just awesome with the 2 swords.

they have showcased the 2 classes I like the most in order so far, Human female ele and now Charr warrior, next I'm after female Necro or Ranger.
