Just the knowledge of Dogi's involvement is all I need to make me a happy camper (though making him playable again would be icing on the cake

The details for next week's dengeki has been leaked.
Adol, voiced by Kaji Yuuki Dogi, voiced by Miyake Kenta Hawk, voiced by Ishikawa Kaito White Cat, voiced by Komatsu Mikako Ferocious Bull, voiced by Sakura Ayane Her weapon is an Hammer. Her special action is "Valkyrie Hammer" . It breaks walls and enemies guards. Doll, voiced by Suzuki Aina Her weapon is sweep sword(?) and Wired Sickle. Her special action is "The Third Eye". It allows one to see invisible things. Apostate, voiced by Shimono Hiro He uses a staff. His special action is "Shadow dive". Can use shadows to go through narrow passages and hide from enemies. New Play movie have been released. So the red monstrum's(Adol) name is "Crimson King"(or something similar depending what the english name will be).
Cut scenes do look better now, probably because it's using motion capture now. Looks like the previous play movie and CM wasn't posted here. |

Just watched all 4 of the trailers. Some really good stuff. Especially love the osts from the two most recent trailers. Some really good stuff. That ost change tho at around 1:56 in that most recent vid is amazing. They teased us with suddenly changing song after that part.
Man this game is looking good. It's also hopefully a good sign for what the new trails stuff will look like.

This game worth a 9/10 on my book.
Y's 8 raised my expectation in this series, and Y's 9 certainly lived up to it. Dungeon design this time is much better, the story also has very good pacing, characters are likable. The whole Adol/Crimson King narration trick also has a satisfying answer. Though poor Jabil, the old man is so going to feel suicidal if he had found out what happened in Y's 9. |

Ys 9 localization announced for release next year, and it's multi-platform! It's being done by NISA again, but hopefully they'll handle this one better than they did 8. Either way, I'm just glad to know there's a Switch version (still lacking a PS4, unfortunately), so I'm looking forward to that!
