So this will be like the Super Boo fight eh. Vegeta getting hammered, Ultimate Gohan getting beaten and Gotenks as well then later SSG Goku. I think I know where this is going.

Anyways the Toriko x One Piece X DBZ

Nice trailer. I'm glad to see the giant monkey again. Still, the trailer reminds me how adult Goku's voice is such a turn-off (to me, at least). Hey, Crillin's hair actually looks decent this time ! Also, I can't wait to listen to Piccolo's singing .

Some forums say the super saiyan god form is the yellow great ape we see in GT. =/
Well that will be a bummer if that's the Super Saiyan god form, since Vegeta can do that too.

^ I doubt that. Anything we saw in GT will definitely not be used in this movie.
I'm speculating that SSJG form is connected with that blue aura seen at 0:49.

One of the reason why, I watched the Funnimation dub of DBZ. Sean Schemmel was great as Goku's VA. (My opinion)

^I know it would be very anti-climatic if we see a SSJ great ape.

That's the general concensus that I've seen. And the Oozaru seems more like a flashback/symbolic thing (like when you see it against King Piccolo).

It's an SSJ2-like transformation with blue Aura. I doubt Toriyama would try doing something uglier than an SSJ3...

Man Vegeta will turn into an 8 year old raging kid when he sees Goku as Super Saiyan God. I mean, way to feel completely defeated by your rival.

I hope it does not get this level of ridiculous.

^ That really looks ugly and ridiculous. Hopefully, Toriyama gave this form a sensible design that stands out in a good way.

Nice to know that this movie is 1.5 hrs. It's the first Dragon Ball movie to get a "feature film" length.

I think the longest movie was the first Broly film which was 70 minutes. In my country they once released a movie in the cinemas but had to combine two movies to give it a feature film length. XD

Is that so ?
Speaking of the Oozaru, the Oozaru that appears in the trailer may be just a flashback scene from DB. If you look closely at it, it looks like it is busting out of a castle, most likely Emperor Pilaf's Castle from DB.

It's the 45th anniversary of Weekly Shounen Jump, but we don't know the real reason. With the original cast getting on in years (and a few members already passed on), maybe they wanted to give one last hurrah with the main characters still played by the same people.

Incidentally, the 30th anniversary of the manga is at the end of next year, and the 30th anniversary of the anime isn't until 2016.

It could be related with the return of Dragon Ball Z Kai that will adapt the Buu saga.

I just read about this for the first time after seeing your post. Supposedly, the Buu arc will not air in Japan, but is being done exclusively for the international audience? I find that very bizarre...

Because Dragon Ball is more popular in the West than the East.

I always thought it was very popular in Japan, as well, though.

A lot games have been released by Western companies. I heard the series' peak of popularity in the East was in the Namek arc and then started declining a bit.
