Yesterday's Results:
Victorique de Blois - 516 Misaka Mikoto - 613 Erica Hartmann - 498 Amane Suzuha - 496 Perhaps Homura's loss wasn't so much an assassination attempt as it was Mikoto just being that ridiculously strong. Mikoto once again clears the 600 vote mark to take down Victorique who wasn't close to winning despite a 500+ vote total. Mikoto looks to be a in pretty good position to win the contest but there are still 4 other Puella Magi that need to be dealt with among other powerhouses. A great try by Suzuha but the future refused to change. I thought Erica would do a fair bit better but she let Suzuha get within 2 votes of her. I'm not so sure she'll be able to beat whoever wins between Gertrud and Kanade. Today's matches: Makise Kurisu vs Astarotte Ygvar Gertrud Barkhorn vs Tachibana Kanade Kurisu has probably improved since her near loss to Nanasaki Ai but I don't think she has what it takes to beat Astarotte. The Strike Witches are starting to run into the limit of their ability. She's not going to be easy to beat but I think Gertrud has met her match against Kanade. This is especially true if Kanade is able to tap into the power she displayed in Round 1 again. Votes: Makise Kurisu Tachibana Kanade Predictions: Astarotte Ygvar Tachibana Kanade

Fairly late post today. Starts good with 2-0 in Round 3 (Total 95-35). Too bad it came at the expense of Victorique, sigh...
The witch barely won, but she'll get slay by the angel either way... Onto the other 2. A3-2: Rotte - Sticking with my original prediction, even though Suzuha exceed my expectation. B3-1: Kanade - Group B is her's to lose... |

With Victorique's loss, Group A's finalist has almost surely been decided. Mildly disappointed at Suzuha's two vote loss to Erica Hartmann. Today, the first of Round 3's matches involving one of my final four favorites has begun. The last, best and brightest hope of the AB! faction.
Spoiler for she, the ultimate weapon:
Picks: A2: Kurisu Makise B1: Kanade Tachibana - You are AB!'s shining last hope, carry on for the sake of your vanished comrades!

Hoping Assistant Kurisu wins but tracker showing Lotte has the lead. Looks suspiscious though, like an attempt to push Lotte out of shooting range to discourage Kurisu supporters or maybe its Kanade's supporters trying that.
I can see either having a base of dedicated fans (not going to say much about Lotte's dedicated fans....) more than a general audience base. Then again given Kanade's distortion techique, i guess i should not be surprised. Last throw of the dice and if she loses, better wear your ear plugs when she activates her howling technique. Unfortunately Kurisu has no special powers (even though she featured in a handheld fighting game) but given her character, she'll get back on her feet even if she loses. |

Looks like another close match involving Steins; Gate. Kurisu isn't waiting for the final hour to make her comeback. Taking all votes into account, she's close enough where she could pass Astarotte (Lotte). I still prefer Lotte though for the current Group A match. (Edit: change that Kurisu leads now)
Kanade, my other choice, is trying to pull away in the Group B match.
