I already like Code Geass in the first season, even though I (fking) hate Mechas with a passion, and that says a lot about how good the first season was. Now that it's set in the Edo period with Samurai, Ninja, you name it, and considering I generally like that theme a lot better, I'm gonna love this. I wonder what they're gonna come up with this time, and the connection between Lulu and this new character.

This news has brightened my day and 2010 shall be its fate. It'd be even more awesome if it was another kind of anime in production; regardless if it's related to R2 or not. There is also the whole Code Geass code history that hasn't been quite touched in-depth. We still don't know that much about it or where the origins of it came from.
I'm even more worried about the protagonist in the upcoming manga project. Will he be more awesome than Lelouch ever was or will he succumb to the fate of most people hating on him? Stay tuned! |

Lol ? This new project is a manga ? Seriously ? I didn't see them making such announcements when they published the previous ones. If that's a manga, I'll end up being extremely disappointed. Don't care about mangas. :/

Nah..! Our average Code Geass fans seem to be fairly inexperienced at disseminating information. Now if this was a news concerning Haruhi, the Haruhi-fans very well have predicted the forecast by the minute from someone sneezing.
Jokes aside, you don't update your webpage with a coverpage, promise to tell there will be new information in a specific magazine, and also mention the fact that a script by a specific individual is also ready, just because you want to announce for an upcoming manga. Yeah.

But it seems its a flashback? Well i guess it seems a little weird XD. My prediction! This will nfinally explain why CC makes fun of Kallen and teases her. Lelouch in a past life eventually got married to Kallen in a past life. Thus for this reason CC seems to Tease Kallen because its happen before. That's my story and I am sticking to it! |

i have a fear that they'll some how involve giant mechas despite being in edo period. I mean some how they have mechanical arms already...
Personal I hope it somehow relates to sayako's ninja background.

I don't think you have to worry about that to be honest. To put Knightmare Frames in the Edo period would not only be incredibly lame and silly, it would also mess with the continuity that has already been established in canon Code Geass. I don't think Taniguchi, who did in fact help form the original story even though he wasn't the main writer, would do something like that.
This story takes place somewhere between 76 and 341 years prior to the birth of Lelouch (1658-1923 atb). Lelouch was born December 5 1999 atb and his mother used to be a KMF pilot. The frame she piloted was incredibly simple in comparison to the frames that were used during Britannia's invasion of Japan 2010 atb and even at that point Knightmare Frames were not the common backbone of armies around the world. This technological difference is what made Britannia's invasion of Japan so simple, the defenders could not stand up to the Britannian Knightmare Frames so it was a crushing defeat. To leap hundreds of years back in time and put Knightmare Frames in the Edo period would make no sense at all. They might be putting the Sakuradite to some good use though. Since it's a natural resource in the world of Code Geass I assume that Mt Fuji will still be the by far richest Sakuradite source and since it's a fictional, supernatural resource I'm sure it could unlock some possibilities that would usually not belong in the Edo period. Renya is sure wearing... something... in that picture.

Also, the new series is simply unique to the manga. Okouchi might even do a Code Geass manga series as well. Besides, mangas are a cost effective way of telling the Code Geass story. And its a way to test various Code Geass projects. As long as its done by the anime staff, it should be a successful series. |

There are a lot of people on other forums (not going to name them) that suggest C.C. and Renya will have a contract together, while the Lelouch guy is the anti-hero/antagonist. I think the reason they think that is because Reifuu C.C. is on one side of Renya while the Lelouch is on the other.
