Man, I thought Satoshi was going to slap Shinji at one point to slap some sense into him about training Pokemon. I was really surprised to learn that Shinji wasn't a newbie trainer and traveled to three of the places Satoshi has been with Naetoru as his actual starter.

Whoo! He's on par with Satoshi.

Double performance... I pray that it will not be put in the next Game. It was complicated enough in Diamond & Pearl.

That slug-like pokemon (Shellos?) of Nozomi's was somewhat disturbing. Stretching it's neck *shiver*.

Natane (Gardenia) was enjoyably funny in the anime with her grass pokemon obssession. The game doesn't have it...

Quote from her: "People that use grass pokemon can't be bad". The "people" refered to Team Rocket.........

And she had fun letting grass pokemon attack her.......

Wow..I thought that was a boring episode..though the Satoshi and Hikari Battle kept me interested, but that's it. Bleh..I claim this to be the first boring episode of DP..for me though.

Anyways, it was pretty funny when Satoshi kept getting shocked even by Pachirisu. Also when Kojiro and Nyasu was all depressed during the TR motto.

AND SATOSHI LOOKED AWESOME *coughhotcough* IN THAT LEATHER JACKET! *O*

This so made up for DP41! Hehe Satoshi's a moving target.

Well "Oh do you know the Poffin Plan" and "Getting the Pre-Contest Jitters" was on Saturday. :3 Still haven't watched the dub version, but from what I heard Kengo's name is now Kenny. xDDD "OMG THEY KILLED KENNY!" And now Pikari is changed to Dee-Dee. XD Major Dexter's Lab memories~ -shot-

Well I thought this was a pretty good episode, not my favorite, but still good. :3 Yay for Gary coming back! Yeah I loved Ash's smokey entrance at the near end.

The Drifloon episode I still haven't watched in dub, but the joy sisters' names are weird. ;o; Mai and Sayaka sound better.

This episode was pretty fun, the first maze episode of Pokemon. xD I sensed some Greggle/Hikari in that one scene where Greggle helps Hikari out of that jam with the Golem. So omg wow, I never could see Shinji as the comic relief, but it happened and it was sooo funny. Everyone's like, "Hey Shinji! Hey Shinji! Do you know where Satoshi/Hikari/Takeshi are?" and he's like "F off!" It's unknown if he actually caught that Fearow.

And my favorite Movie 9 BGM was used at the near end when they were trying to get Satoshi out of the maze since it was a dead end and yeah.. And also an unexpected Advance Adventure BGM was used. xD

This man speaks truth. The dub is horrible. Its another anime that's been butchered and squandered by 4kids Entertainment (I'm still not over the One Piece debacle). Earlier this year, I was able to watch some of the original kanto episodes and a couple of the movies, and was pleasantly suprised. It's a totally different show.

The dub for the first Pokemon series is not bad; I've seen much worse. There was some emotion in the voices, and Team Rocket and Brock delivered the jokes. I didn't think there was much more they could have done. The voices and dialogue became much more mechanized after that.

hehe, i've been following the show on and off for a while. I just couldn't find the thread until now. But that double battle in episode 51 is what makes Pokémon so great.
