The power levels are definitely an issue here, given the absurd strength of Shinigami(his soul's "power orb" is the size of death city...) who lost to Asura and the fact that Asura just got a power up, it doesn't make any sense that the trio who are still just rookies can fight him. And it makes even less sense that just Kid and Black Star can hold their own without chain resonance. I guess we just have to suspend our disbelief, this is pretty typical shounen stuff.

Hvaing been reminded last night that there's probably no point in expecting canonical logic and explanations, I'll agree with you there.

Hmm it wasn't a bad episode. Like everyone here, the idea of upgraded kisshin vs the trio being even little bit even sounds a far-fetched, but whatever. I miss the comical side of Soul Eater....

Too dragged out. Oh for those of you who wait a week after the ep airs like me usually for obvious reasons, look around some more, you'll be satisfied.

Asura is strong , and even strong after he ate Arach's soul and pawn Shinigami !
But after viewing the preview it seems they'll begin to pawn him !!! LOL !

Well , its not surprising , the anime didn't follow at all the manga , so they dash off this show! Its a shame , it was good . Don't expect a Season 2 !

The word in question has been something of a mantra to Maka for a while now. When it comes to Kid, I think perhaps Kotobassu was referring to the fact that the kids fail in their next attempt to beat Asura in spite of the power-up Kid receives. They might have a point - if Bones is, say, willing to acknowledge just how tough an enemy Asura is meant to be - but I doubt it, as I can't see the writers killing off any of the main kids. But who knows, I could be proved wrong in my pessimism ( for me expecting a clean, happy ending is pessimistic)
