It's Julius. He became the latest victim of Bishop Gluttony in arc 5 and everyone lost his memories of him except Subaru. However thankfully he still exists and has his own memories at least. He basically joins Subaru's party a bit later afterwards.

If a person dies you at least has the memories of those times, you can treasure a part of your love one inside your heart but those asshole take eeven that from you, the victim is a living corpse whose soul is trapped inside those monster; kind of reminds me of a short storty from Stephen King called The Jaunt.

the things that Betelgeuse did were the first experiences I had with the Cult and they've somehow impacted me the most aside from the stuff that Gluttony did. Especially since my favorite female character Crusche had this fate of losing her memories. But hey we still have some Bishops left

You know what scares me? That according to the author, the Bishop of Lust Capella is the worst of the Cult, can you even imagine that? In an organisation full of mosnters and there is one that beats all of them in terms of pure evil, that´s the very stuff of nightmares. I read she does all those horrible things because she´s just old plain evil, not becuase she´s insane in the medical way (but she´s insane in the literal way) like the the rest of the Bishops, she´s like a female magical version of The Jocker, just what the Re:Zero world needed.

Exactly; her. She is the reason why I'm still rather cautious to name my "most hated" out of all the witch cult. I mean I was already about to loose myself when she turned all those villagers in these fly like creatures. She didn't even gain anything out of it. This was just to make other suffer and it infuriated me. Well done Tappei, I really hate the antagonists in this story with a passion! That's why arc 5 came like a blessing. Finally almost all of our people grouped up to give the Cult hell.

Just a quick question regarding the gluttony kills, is it simply memory erasures or does it wipe out physical evidence of it as well. But if the worst they can do is put people in a coma then there is hope for the victims. finally I heard they are put in some kind of stasis does this mean they also won't age?

Gluttony can affect a person in 3 different ways. I hope I remember that correctly and doesn't mix something up.

They consume your name = No one in the world will remember you anymore. You're pretty much a stranger in everyones eyes

They consume your memories = You loose all your memories and you forget who you are.

They consume your soul = Everyone in the world forgets who you are, your soul is taken which sends your body into a coma. Your body won't be affected at all but at that point it's pretty much a soulless limb of meat that is alive.

Actually it's worse than death because killing Gluttony doesn't seem to be a solution in order to get the names, memories and souls back. So hope for the victims is close to 0%

Besides there are multiple bishops and different beasts that all have this ability. Once the whale was killed neither the names or the memories returned if I remember correctly

According to Ekidna it can certianly be reversed, but secret lies with Bishop of Gluttony. Whether that means killing him or not is unknown.

As for the Bishop of Lust:

Apparently she's considered the worst of the Bishops because it seems unlike the others she doesn't seem motivated by religious zeal, or self interest. She simply like breaking people and their ideals and is completely self-absorbed thanks to her power.

That's also what I love about the characters in this story. Not only our protagonists or the main characters have motivations and grudges. Every single person has at least two things driving them forward and even if they manage to fulfill that their role in the story is not over yet.
