Yeah, I was hoping so too, but it's already past the usual Tokyo MX air date/time, and still nothing... :\

I do want them to take their time and do a good job but at least some news would be nice...

so with 3 more episodes, I assume classrep-chan will probably go cat mode and start biting peoples again.

This adds to my speculation that cats are evil.

Someone once said that if cats were scaly and reptilian, we'd know them for the psychopathic ruthless demons that they are.

Hey, hey! I used to have a cat too you know! She was an angel!

Well, I'm not doubting that Hanekawa had a thing for Koyomi since they first met. That's probably another reason why her stress levels went so high, considering Koyomi is naturally anti-social. Him getting together with Senjougahara added insult to the injuries she was already taking from her parents and the problems that caused her.

Just to clarify... I've had cats in my home all my life (you don't "own" a cat ). I just happen to know they cast illusion spells to fool humans.

Cats are like cuckoos. Just like cuckoos lay their eggs in the nests of other birds and have marking reminiscent of other birds to trigger parental instincts, cats have features of human babies that make us want to take care of and love them. It's all very biological.

Just watched 12 episodes straight, good thing I learned there were 3 more episodes to explain the Cat Arc. I hope to see all of the girls Koyomi met to interact soon lol. Except maybe the ghost girl since no one can see her.

Can someone confirm? I noticed there are a lot of censoring in this series , is it REALLY VOILENT & GORY? like Elfen Lied? Well if they do animate the censored parts in the DVDs/BLue Ray, I'd watch this series again just to see them.

Censored? You mean like the pink blood in episode 8? I'm pretty sure SHAFT did that on purpose.

Pretty sure it was just SHAFT not finishing the scenes in time because they were trying to be too pretentious . Nevertheless (with the exception of episode 10), much of it was was animated, and of course awesome.

Their expectations to be able to animate the entire episode were too high but they ended up biting off more than they could chew. In other words, they rushed too much and ended up being too constrained for time (and money). That's how I'm reading it anyways. I always thought that the black and red flashes was just SHAFT's style, but they abused it horribly for ep 10.

I am still not understanding.

Where was the pretense ?

The example you gave is not being "too pretentious...", rather it is an example of bad time and resource management.

If they were successful and quick in all of their initial animation goals would they still be pretentious ?

A definition of being pretentious is to make demands of one's skills, ability or means. SHAFT took on the pretentious task of carrying out the animation for Bakemonogatari. However, they were too pretentious, as in making too many demands of their own abilities and ended up trying to do more than they could have. Like I said, their expectations were way too high, as they found out later, resulting in their being constrained for time and money.

Huh ?

You realize that what you wrote is the verbal equivalent of a snake swallowing its own tail ?

Oh, the stargazing scenes were just... perfect, I agree. Everything else was simply icing on the cake, for me.
