On cold nights I usually wrap a towel around my wasit and it's really warm. Way nicer than just long pants. So I can only imagine how great the real thing must be. Not that I've been desperate enough to raid my sister's closet yet Seems like it would be quite comfortable.
Also they get to blow dramatically in the wind, anything which can do that is automatically +1 in my book.

Whoa...did not expect to see this! Weird surprise of the day.
Hmm Skirts...they're a nice thing to see, though I hardly see them. From what I've seen, miniskirts are okay and all. Though, longer skirts do seem to have a more charming effect on me. So count me on that team. Quote:
Thus effectively enslaving them into doing her bidding. (which would only be a bad thing if you are SaintessHeart) I like this viewpoint, it is interesting! Hopefully such research brings about fantastic results. |

Skirts huh? Count me in! I have long ones(evening gowns), mid length for business events or looking professional with a matching jacket and white blouse, short ones for warm days, or hot nights.
Oh, and thigh highs are preferred on cooler nights...and yes I do own one black leather mini for special occasions. And one black business suit. Now you may continue with your regularly scheduled programming! |

So let's dig deep into the topic of skirts, what do you call those designs where the ends are all flowery and wavy and flaky and whatever.
I can't even give a photo example because I don't know what to type in google search. Typing in "flowery and wavy and flaky and whatever" gets me the French Flag. *EDIT: Spoiler for Found example:
THIS, except this looks terrible imo Especially that shade of blue. And that is too long for a skirt. If it was a dress then it's fine to go below knees. |

As the pictures above should reveal ... not all women can wear any skirt. What works for some is horror for others, etc.
Women with a clue pick something that flatters them... sadly, a walk through the mall reveals the percentage of the population without a clue. Wife-unit avoids skirts like the plague unless the temperature is more than 80F. Business slacks, jeans, overalls are more typical. Shorts and skirts for about a month in the summer She *is* thinking about leggings this year, there's a local sock store (where I get my tabi) that has a lot of cute perky gothy stuff.

If you want "wife-unit" in a skirt more often, you need to move to California where the weather has a tendancy to be above 80F for about five or six months out of the year. It was in the high 80s the last few days, and now its in the 60s again.
Though I don't see all that many skirts. Women around here seem to have taken to pants.

I agree, I'd love to wear things like that, especially since my body shape is beanpole straight up and down without much in the way of big hips, tits or ass. The unfortunate part is my body is also much larger than the average Asian girl so I can't find any of those things that'd ever fit me.

I have two butt-accentuating skirts (short, denim and tight). The problem is while they're very flattering to my rear end, they're not so forgiving of my lack of a perfect hourglass shape and highlight just how uncurvy my torso is, unless I wear them with tights and a big fluffy sweater on a cold day.
The types of tops that look best on me have apparently gone completely out of fashion, because I used to be able to buy empire-waist peasant blouses everywhere and now I can find them nowhere.
