The worst possible thing happened to me today my gay ass flash drive decided to be retarded and not work properly, everytime I put in the USB port of any PC it says

"drive is not formated do you want to format now ?"

And my midtearm project is due tommorw !!!!

However I did not reformat the drive and I tried a program called Data Scavenger to get the files I needed out of their although I got the files out the are not opening any more in Adobe Illustrator it gives this error

"Acrobat PDF File Format is having diffculties. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" These files are all .ai files

Can someone help fast and soon !??! Please this is really important.

Lastly the last PC I used the flash drive on was on a MAC and I made sure to eject the drive properly.

have you tried putting it back on the mac? What MAC OS were you using? did you format the drive as Mac only or PC formatted. It should be formatted PC formatted to allow it readable on both Mac and PC.

Incidentally, if you recover files using a tool which just lifts the data from the sectors without regard to structures, etc, there's a good chance that you got some extra bits and pieces in there, or lost parts... If it was a plaintext file you could've just opened it up, but .ais...
