In ME1, the only places with significant differences in layout were the primary mission planets (Eden Prime, Virmire, Ilos, Feros, Noveria and Therum) and the Citadel.

ME2 meanwhile had all the maps you visit be unique in layout - no two maps including the sidequests in ME2 were the same in terms of object placement, terrain layout, elevation etc. In terms of locational diversity, ME2 still wins over ME1 objectively speaking.
My problem with ME2 locations was the linearity and how you could instantly tell there was a firefight coming due to all the conveniently placed crates that would work perfect for cover everywhere, in ME1 there was a sense of bigness from all the driving around, even the vehicle sections of ME2 where quite linear.

Its a giant space world, they should work on freeing the limits of where we go and who we interact with.

As much it's great that DA2 has romance options open to anyone no matter what bent, I couldn't suspend my disbelief immediately when it feels like the game is trying 'too hard' to appeal to fanfiction-ish escapism... like it feels 'too easy' or something. With the exception of Isabela's case, who's already established as a bisexual earlier on, I just don't feel like they've pulled off the characterization that well in the romantic category. Needs even more uniqueness in dialogue depending on the gender of the player character than what's already apparent in the game in my opinion, and less 'swapping of pronouns'.

That said, I can still imagine Jack swinging both ways, considering she's admitted to having relations with both men and women before. Liara, plus Kelly... (and Samara perhaps?) are already available to both male and female Shepards. It's good to know that Bioware is a bit more focused in writing same-sex love interest scenarios for entirely new characters by starting from scratch.

Spoiler for tidiness:

Well... if Bioware doesn't mind jumping the shark and apply a fatality to the remnants of their reputation... they could always use this instead...
Spoiler for tidiness:

Harbinger: "SHEPHAAAARD!"

Shephard: "REAPEEEERS!"

yea... take away Liara's bionics.. and shes .. pretty useless to

tell tali shes useless in battle when you are facing a army of mechs. then you'd wish you had tali and legion on your team (legions loyal mission was piss easy with those two)

...the hell? I found combat drones to be the freaking best imba overpowered crowd control skill in the entire game, even on insanity.

As for ME3 ... vote for romancable fembot geth

... or a romancable Hanar, look at those long legs man..... ok this is getting silly

Stasis is the best CC skill, but drones are great for knocking idiots out of cover.

I wish Shepard's biotics were hitscan like the squad members'. The slow-moving blue-blob just makes getting your ass shot so much easier.

Biotics got majorly screwed over in ME2. Here's to hoping they get more useful in ME3.

Partially agree; Warp feels so much more useful and Vanguards are actually not complete fail thanks to Charge and Shockwave.

But I do think they worked better in ME1 overall.

The only biotic move I liked in Mass Effect 2 was primarily Warp.. Everything else sorta felt useless depending on the situation (aside from me just rushing them )
