... Character limit is prohibiting a single-post backlog breaker .
So ... ANOTHER MAXIMUM BACKLOG BREAKER!! =========== Quote:
Davram sure upped his ante as one of the master wizards in the world, though he was eventually being overwhelmed by the Order of Light. And that Sealing Logia seems to be doing its job nicely ... until it reappeared in the world again, deep underground . Nice opening chapter . Quote:
Davram's nonchalance is certainly a great work, though his image as a lich is getting worrisome. He's so kind ! And a mean streak of giving surprises when you least expect it. Guess Iris still has much to learn about her master. Rule #1: Don't assume that he's asleep if he seems like it. Quote:
Iris's ursophilia impulse is a nice touch, but poor teddy that got punched! And lo and behold, another bear joins the rank, and one that gets off rather well with Iris, in this case. Ursus should be advised caution with Iris, she bites. A nice title for this, as Tormenk put it, would be The Lich, the Tower, and the Bear! =========== Quote:
=========== Quote:
I haven't watched Wicker Man, so the reference eludes me. =========== Quote:
*douses self in bleach to cleanse the mind* =========== Quote:
The question was actually meant to ask the reader what they think caused so many scars on Grandia, actually . It didn't work out well, but never mind. The Templars were trained together and much of their histories were known to each other. It's like they had been companions for a very long time that everyone knew everyone else from the inside out, except if they were hiding something. And yeah, the roses aren't always blooming for the villains . Sometimes they get poison ivy instead. Quote:
Vivio grows up to be quite a rascal in this fic, but she's still a responsible girl under Nanoha's guidance. Yuuno gives his share of "parentage" also, as you've noticed . Joint inquisition ... Leona: *eyes glinting coldly* Don't even think about it. Defection? The probability is rather low. Quote:
But, cliffhangers are ... necessary. And more's coming . *flees* Quote:
Quote:
Uhm, half a vegetable. And quite a bad half, too. He takes the first scene of Chapter Nine. Quote:
Well, it's good that we're now second-guessing what the plot will end up with (my intention, exactly), because it makes it more interesting (and more difficult for me to write the plot ). I'm just hoping I can pull the big one later. Quote:
No, and I went the extra mile to make it seem so! ========== Quote:
The second prophecy seems dire enough, seeing as it involves even the age of the Saint King three hundred years ago. Nanoha receiving the second Linker Core sounds a bit strange for me, but I don't mind it very much. It will be interesting development to watch out for. For OCs, I think I've mentioned it already that most of mine wouldn't fit, except for Gabriel who's working in Intelligence. See if you need another Intelligence other than Acous, and we'll discuss this out. If your story revolves heavily around the ancient age, then it's all right. Good luck with this! ========== Quote:

Quote:
Use it if you want, though. I don't mind anyone using it as well. Quote:
Ah, wait, before that, we'll tackle this little bit here: Spoiler for “Duel of the Century”:
If Juste won the duel, why is Zarakiya made the leader and not him? =3 To my understanding, this would follow a similar rule as Tracing (in your case, the Artifacts of the God), wouldn't it? If you don't mind me pointing out, your characters (two of the three) have a lot of special abilities that are mitigated very little for the huge benefits they gain. Well, they're antagonists, you've mentioned them earlier, but it remains difficult to see how the Aces are able to handle them. For starters, Veneficus Terminus doesn't sound like a powerful limitation in any case, given that the Zarakiya's threshold is quite high. I believe you'll be exercising author limitation here. For Inritus Presencia, from what I understand, it means that they're no longer immortal, so ... what's the consequence here other than they becoming human? Does that mean that the average Aerternis who doesn't practice actually do not die normally, and that if struck a lethal blow, they can be regenerate very rapidly? What I mean is, what's so crippling about this effect to Zarakiya's unnatural ability? Quote:
Uhm, right, a lance that can "cut through anything". By virtue of description, I'm assuming it means the lance can cut anything including space, universe, time, and the like. Proficiency, like casting time and power, is pretty much subjective and author limited, so if he really needs to use it, then he will use it. Now, can you describe a way in which the lance can be effectively blocked? ... I dread to think what Cronus Flax can do ... Quote:
Quote:
Let's see, if someone critically damages his heart/weak point, will it just "gush" out in a pool of blood and then repair itself like nothing's ever happened? Quote:
Also, if he can only use it once per day, how long is the duration that the jacket will remain as a void before it reverts to being a normal jacket? Sorry, by "once per day", it can either mean "activated once and effective till one day is over" or "activated once and effective only for one attack per day". I do hope it's the latter ... Quote:

Quote:
There's the sense of mystery over who Alemantas's true identity (and the one who spoke in her dream), and then the person who called her ... mother? Nice biking scene between Snake and Acous, though I'm still wondering who did Acous meet in the office (doesn't sound like Regius). A lot of codenames are being used, it seems. And the mastermind is already revealed . Why, you saying you weren't in love with it until now? I'm hurt! Thanks! Quote:
That girl ain't scary, she's cute and innocent! Great, more epic stuff is always good. Quote:
The response is so strong ... I didn't get the reference about Sora and Nike (though I know it's from Kingdom Hearts ), but I'm amazed that your favorite Templar is Trystahn of the four being detailed so far. He has the least amount of exposure at current time, but I guess he makes people feel for him (perhaps more so after this ... ). Thanks! ========== Quote:
Maid Guy Sight? Everything's see through? The girls aren't safe anymore with this stalker in town! I wonder if Noland sees even through Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate ... what a lucky maid. Quote:
I prefer this profile, it's much revised and is more balanced than the previous one. And no Maid Guy Sight ability, I see. Good work with this! Quote:
Now, the story begins with one learned man searching for the truth ... Yuuno Scrya, with his lifelong partner Nanoha Takamachi. History is about to be remade ... *flees* ========== Quote:
This is serious stuff, a dark future where Nanoha is lost, Vivio is battling against foes who are previous allies, and new characters rallying behind her. EPIC! And don't tell me Hel is ... HAYATE?! Gosh, this is heart-gripping, Kyral, you need to write faster! Rinya's ID and the little poster are EPIC pics in their own right! Great work, wish I have this photoshopping ability. Just a little bit, though. I remember the last entry you written was about Elric wanting to apologize to Rinya, now how did this crop up so suddenly? Time jump? Quote:
And ... who killed Nanoha offscreen? Oh, you ... BASTARD! Thank you, I appreciate your reading it. Hopefully, it's not too tiresome for the eyes. Quote:
I literally filched Wyrd's warning from dictionary, I'll edit that, thanks! Frozen Shackles, however, come from manga translation, so I'll just leave it be. Thanks for the pointers, though! Quote:
AWESOME PICTURES! And you drew them yourself too ... MADNESS! ========== Quote:
You always find holes to insert the least amount of your brand into it, ne? Not that I mind. And I guess you found the reference for Sunstrider. Quote:
I've been wanting to use the theme for quite some time now. And thanks! The place is literally a wasteland already, so more damage wouldn't matter much. ========== I think I miss a few along the way, going through 200+ pages isn't exactly easy. Sorry about that. Do give me a nudge if I accidentally miss them. Now, let me disappear somewhere and meditate to regain my lost energy ... *faints* |

Wowwwww.
Another ginormous breaker has been completed, and cookies are ready to be handed out. I would see if you broke the record, but I'm typing this at a little before 9 AM, which is wayyy earlier than I'm used to getting up... I need to figure out why I'm up so early so I can avoid doing it again. :3 Either way, though...200 whole pages...I can't fault you for a heroic effort.

Her titel "Dark Lady of the Nocturnal Glacier" is a innuendo on her old titel "Mistress of the Night Sky" and the fact that she has some awsome ice elemental spells. Her new name "Hel" comes pretty obviously from norse mythology, as some of her spells have names from the norse mythology too. Quote:

The Terminus is practically useless for Zarakiya, true. However, I will not extend this to others...And as for the Aces, he's just somewhat under them in power output, and all he needs to do is stall for time and then kick their asses. Not only do they lose their immortality, they actually actively degenerate, emphasis on "actively", which progressively cuts their lifespan down to flat nil. The average Aerternis can still be dealt a fatal blow and die, yes. But die if left alone? No. The less they use magic, the better, really, that's what I'm trying to say Quote:

Although if you cut him enough times, he'd probably run out of stamina, since it's his body's own natural reaction, and it DOES drain a lot of energy, so he'll avoid being hit too much. It's a bad idea when your body over-metabolizes in an attempt to save you, it could kill you actually. Quote:

I am posting to let you know that during the next 24 hours this thread will be locked and a new thread with the same title and purpose will be created. This is being done because this thread has reached a rather astronomical size and, believe it or not, having such oversized threads adds to the unnecessary workload our server must handle during certain operations. (in fact i should have done this a while ago, but i just forgot had to postpone it in face of other issues of universal importance *cough*)
Not to break the flow of discussion a few dozen of last posts will be moved to the new thread, so hopefully the change will be relatively unnoticeable. Should i also move the "index posts" from first page to the new thread so the respective authors of said posts can keep updating them ?

I am not 100% certain about editing posts in closed threads for normal users (although i am 99% sure it is possible), but i don't see why that should matter either way - the index posts will be copied to the new thread, which is obviously going to be open and thus the respective authors will be fully capable of editing their posts in the new thread.

Well, if there is anyone else from the regulars here who would be willing and able to manage the directory i can make him the author of the directory post in the upcoming thread so that he/she can manage it.
Or i can leave it as it is

No objections here Ghaz, go ahead. Sad that we can no longer claim to be 'the biggest thread on AF' just by looking at it, but this was bound to happen sooner or later.
Now we will have the advantage that new members will feel less intimidated by the monstrous size this thread has taken. |

O snap, Ghaz went for the index already. Darn, this is what happens when you sleep. I was wanting to go for index updating, since I used to do that alot in the FA (Heck I was the FA paperwork dude. Hence the "Franz as paperwork's bitch" meme that entered the OFM :P).
I'd suggest that the Index Post be the 2nd post, to make things easier. Currently scrolling for the index means wading through 6 inches of Bluechesium and Khrack . As for dead index posts, what Ghaz meant was that most users can't edit posts in locked threads (for most forum software, anyway; it kinda defeats the purpose of locking a thread, IMO, if the data is still editable).

Ghaz can do the serious indexing for Post #1, and I can take 2nd post and do my assistant admin like how I've done so far. Also, given that Erio actually ran out of room for his directory, we're gonna need about the 2 top posts for expansion.
And Ghaz, once you undertake this task, you are sworn to an oath that you shall be forever active in the services of Outer Cadia. We hope that you will give it your best, just like Erio did until life claimed him to be elsewhere. Do us proud, my brother. One vision, One purpose.

O...okay..... XD Well considering that Erio's directory was quite out of date, and he's not active that much anymore, we need a new person to maintain the directory and such. Which will include a lot of cleaning up and removing of profiles from people who aren't even active on OC anymore.

If you need it, I can help out. To make things easier, we only need to move the active users over to the next thread. Off the top of my head that's:
Kha Keroko Aaron008R Nightengale LoweGear Satty Kyral Liingo PF yuritwincest1 PG yuritwincest2 Tormenk WildGoose Tk3997 You Reiji cough :3 -Fate- Sheba Tempest Xena Krisslanza EvaXgouki SpaceBrotha and the Tsundere Tower SaintX Not sure is Mamott and al have a post here...? ...pardon me if I miss anyone, I'm rushing to class now. Also, I'll be rebuilding my OC vault in the new Thread (whohoo the TRUE 5th Edition Codex! :3), so dun bother to link to me just yet.
