Card counting is easy, you just need to hold a number in your head. You don't need to keep track of all the cards.

oh, I think I kinda get it now. And I can see that each card counter works his own system. Suppose that I group the numbers and the face cards separately, and keep track of the number whenever one card of the corresponding group appears, then act accordingly. Would this example be a correct example of it?

Something like that, yes.

The version I've heard is that you start at 0 when they start a new deck. Then you add 1 for every high card that appears, and subtract 1 for every low card or ace that appears. You start betting big when your total reaches a certain number.

There's a variety of systems out there.

Yep. Don't laugh, it has already happened.

Without delving into the math too deeply: This recipe would already make you a winning player (assuming you have learned the table for basic strategy, meaning "if you have these cards and the dealer shows this upcard, do THAT")

Game: 2 decks, Starting count -4 after shuffle. (Simplified KO system)

1) For each 2,3,4,5,6,7 dealt, increase the count by 1
2) For each 10,J,Q,K,A dealt, reduce the count by 1
3) If the count is <=0, bet 1 unit
4) If the count is 1, bet 2 units
5) If the count is 2 or 3, bet 4 units
6) If the count is >=4, bet 8 units
7) Play standard basic strategy without variations

If you can do that without mistakes, you already play a winning game. Yes, for real.

Recently in Singapore the casno refused to pay out to a lady who won at a slot machine because it is a difficult business to run. I play casual poker with my relatives every CNY, along with Big 2. Poker is an immensely psychological game where you have to pressure your opponent with the amount of money you put on the table. Hard to post on a smartphone, wait till I get home to a computer. __________________ When three puppygirls named after pastries are on top of each other, it is called Eclair a'la menthe et Biscotti aux fraises avec beaucoup de Ricotta sur le dessus. That said I have never gotten rich and usually lost most of the money I've brought with me and only have a couple times I left ahead or broke even. Here's a truck in the Atlantic City casinos, the better you do the more free alcohol they will send you, that way you get drunk and sloppy
