Try Hobby Link Japan.

I find them comparitively cheaper than GundamShop and they have a much, much, much larger selection.

Beside Hobby LInk Japan (including the shipping fee, the order is so expensive), do you have other online stores (North America)?

I get most of my models from PlaJapan.com, which is based in California.

I live in Europe, but one of the recommendations I got was www.plajapan.com situated in California. I haven't ordered from there yet but their prices seem to be ok.

Gundam Model Discussion Thread

Well, since this one seemed to be a popular one, I figured I'd give it a restart.

Anyone seen the new pics and the video of the Zeta 2.0 Gunota mentioned recently? I really can't wait for it to come out, sine that should make the MG Zeta 1.0 availible in much greater quantity, and I'll be able to display the 2.0 in Gundam mode, with the 1.0 glued into Waverider mode.

Oh, and does anyone know how that plated Akatsuki is going to avoid the obvious marring of the pieces where tey are cut? I was looking at Dalong's build of the Extra Finish Freedom and Impulse and you could see where they were cut. I have heard that the Hyaku Shiki kits are attached on the seam of the piece so that you cut the tree, then a flat cut along the seam. Any truth to that? Because if so, I hope they do that to the Akatsuki.

Gundam model kits discussion

Well, I searched and searched, to no avail of the old thread, so I'd like to bring it back up and start with something funny.

I recently bought an HG 1/144 Aegis gundam, and me, not liking its color scheme, grabbed my spray paint and without hesitation brought it to it's new colors:

Say hello to Phase Down Aegis! Note:Picture is dial up friendly

And since I have a HG 1/144 Aile Strike, I can do them "Asraaaan!!!" "Kiraaaaa!!" scenes all over again lol ...

later I want to talk about the 1/100 Strike Freedom [I got the first production version]. It isn't so bad, I mean I'm liking it. For one thing, I used my hobby color Gold paint on the joints

The Akatsuki will probably be like the Hyaku Shiki. The trees will be attached BELOW the gold plating, so it won't show where the pieces will be cut off.

And I have my Zeta 2.0 preordered. Shipping will take awhile though since it's coming from Japan.

Okay, I have the first part of the old Model Discussion thread found, and good to go! I have a 140kb RTF file with the first segment of the thread and I need a place to put it, any ideas? I need a place where it's not likely to be removed after a month or two. >.>

I know, make it the first post of this thread, that way this new thread will follow up on that.

Actually, I was meaning someplace to upload the file. At 60 pages long, representing only 1/6th the total posts, posting the contents of the one file would require at least 20 individual posts. -.-;

Is it true that Bandai will be releasing a HG Palace Athene soon? If they are releasing it, any info on the weaponry it'll come with?

That really is a kick-ass colour scheme. If you have to incorporate gold on a mobile suit like the SF, that's the way to do it. Also, Destiny should always have been white, not gray :/.

I like the modifications though, except for the "toes".

That said, does anyone have the link to that Gundam X someone had kitbashed from the MG Freedom?
