Suzu's new artifact fans can pretty much do that already, though it's more of an explosion rather than a pulse. Thinking of Hajime seriously diving into barrier development is a bit scary since for him it would be just a short hop to get into AT field and Eva territory.

My answer to all of the problems with the guns and magic.

How he made the revolver?, even I memorized the pieces, its so simple to remember things that are already made. With the kind of magic he has (molding metal however he likes) if you say it isn't easy to make one gun of simple design then you only lack the imagination to use it.

And it's also MAGIC, with all the kinds of magic that he has the only thing that is needed is a reference.

Everyone was upgraded. Kouki wants power, so he's not going to refuse a free handout, even if it irks him that Hajime is the one providing it.

Their skill sets aren't suited for gun-kata, Shizuku and Kouki probably do better with swords, and Suzu's a barrier specialist.

going this way i think there's a hope of kouki getting better. sure he is still pain in the ass but going that he didn't reject hajime offer make him better in his decision. i mean he's not all pride and justice but now can see the more rational option.

any combat skill can be suported with a gun for deal with the distance range disventage attacks, if was me, i would try to have at least a fair things under my sleeves for deal with harsh situations, even if iam not so good with a gun at least can bring me some sort of ways to deal with this unnespected events.

Also if you have a gun you can use it to short the distance between you and your target while you cover yourself or escape and make someone unable to follow you .

I think you're forgetting that Hajime would need to constantly supply them with bullets if he gave any of them a gun, and he would consider that an annoyance with his personality.

Only person Hajime would be giving a gun to use in case of emergencies would be Shizuku and even then he won't do it cause JUSTICE MAN would then want one and his whining would be too much of a hassle for Hajime to deal with. I think the ammo issue is fixed if he just gives Shizuku a treasure box ring with a lot of ammo in them

And don't say Shizuku can keep it a secret from Kouki.
1. Hiding a gun ain't that easy.
2. Kouki would notice it sooner or later
