DOES NOT COMPUTE

Also, scanlations for ch98 are out.

...Did Saki's demon aura just made Kasumi's breasts jingle?

Oh my god, it's happening. Ritz really is making "magical boobs" an official hax power. I...I don't know what to think of this. I'm not hating or anything, I'm just shocked for the moment. Just..didn't see it coming.

@Sumeragi Thanks.

By the way, those name have different meaning when written in hiragana right? Because I have seen some of those name meaning but It's not the same as in this list. For example: I thought Toki means Time, Sukoya mean healthy, etc.

.....and can you do the name meanings for school name too?

It doesn't work that way. Most names are based on kanji, so you have to follow the kanji meanings.

Earthquake tremors? In the hall?

And we just define it as "Miyanaga mode"... Since the sisters have a strong aura with the devilish look...

All hands, run for your lives!! *RUNS*

When you have Amuro and Char, why not have a TRUE Char girl instead? (And yes that is awesome, sorry I just joined in the fun only. ) Oh and it is based on Achiga-hen episode 6. Fun time starts when Yuu wins from a non-red tile.(6s)

the fun/scary part on Saki is she is not locked or how to put it.... sealed? no maybe wrong terms but her hands can't be read or predict. Just like how Koromo can't read it. Unlike Teru which will slowly but surely blow/choke you away. And the bad part on it is she can discard or kang tile to draw even more powerful tile. Unlike Kuro which is restricted.... RIGHT! Restricted hands. Saki doesn't have restriction on her discard though she likes to keep it pairs. But still even in a tile drawn for kan. She can discard it to get a bigger one.

I guess the tournament hall will crumble to bits if Saki faces Teru and both of them doing... whatever they're doing. Looking forward to see the individual tournament finals.

WOOH!!! The last panel as Toyone said is simply terrifying... I was wondering where the blooming flowers on Saki's background gone to... it's just like it all withered to dust...

I think Toyone abandon facing off with Saki... she's just desperate to place second now... i think now every time Saki calls kan all 3 get the chills or maybe to the point of peeing their panties (if they're wearing any of course )

Saki is already done with her warm ups and a huge one at it... now the line... The BIIIIIIIG one is coming.... is in order....

In that case...

Toki = 時 (time)
Yuuki = 勇気 (courage)

But otherwise, I don't really think they have any relation if you change the kanji.

personally i would agree with you here, but the problem is for some character their surnames do have a meaning
for example:
染谷 in 染谷 まこ someone believing this name coming from mahjong term 染め手/染める which mean "A one suit" using the fact mako did often aim for honitsu or chinitsu for her hand.
the same case also can be found in 浦 数絵 (nanba kazue) she is strong in the south round right.
and this is not only with their surnames sometimes their first name also use mahjong term as references just like saki coming from rinshan kaiho

But the Toki in the anime is 怜 not 時. Which means.... (insert what Sumeragi puts in the meanings.)

On a completely unrelated note, seeing all these "national people" in action reminds me of how powerful Koromo actually is. Since she was the final boss of the prefecturals, I assumed that she would be weaker than the national-level monsters. In shounen mangas, for instance, the guy who seemed really powerful at the beginning pale in comparison to the ones that appear later on, and even those pale in comparison to another powerful character, and so on. But although it seems that Koromo is weaker than Teru, she still seems much more powerful than a lot of the national level people, considering that Ryuumonbuchi didn't even make it to the finals.

Since Koromo wasn't even able to show half her strength last year because of the Touka-Rinkai thing and it not being the full moon and everything, I'm looking forward to her later matches. If I remember correctly, when the katsu-eating pro (forgot her name) talked to Hisa about the training camps, Hisa thought she might be looking for those loved by the mahjong tiles for pro games and international matches. Now that Koromo has started to "enjoy" mahjong and learned to play it instead of being played by it, she might become even stronger. But since she won't be in the individual matches, we would have to wait long before we can see her truly play.

I'm looking forward to the day when Ritz draws the international mahjong Olympics or something and the Japan team consists of the Miyanaga sisters, Koromo, Jindai/Awai/Cold Touka/etc and other monsters we have yet to see.

The only problem is that I would probably have to wait more than ten years to see this.

did Koromo even played in the last national tournament? I thought she didn't play in the national at all.
