Got my payment request from HLJ less then an hour ago and I've already paid. So hopefully this time next week MG Nu Ver Ka will have arrived and I can finally check that bad boy out in person.

Haha.

Already got a shipping notice to thankfully. Looks like it should be here by the 19th. I will make sure to post some impressions as soon as I can. Sadly might not be home on the day of the arrival because of a sleep app test at the hospital, but I will be tearing into it as soon as I return home.

Arrrrggghhh the HGUC Kshatriyas funnels and white sleeve trims are driving me crazy Dx

I also built the old NG 1/144 Mercurius, nice kit for its age, makes you appreciate what you have now lol ^^

And for some reason I just realized the new HGUC Banshee may be in GR colors, since it was actually fielded on that ship in the novels along with the Jesta team

Regarding the Kshatriyas sleeves, try cutting up the stickers (if you are using those) before applying them, Dalong has a few pictures about it if i recall, if not check his shinanju review and he did the same thing there, it really helped me out.

I have a horrible steady hand, which is the primary reason why the fine sleeve trims are such a pain for me, as such cutting that well is out of the question lol

The way I am doing it right now is:

1. Messily apply as best I can with white gundam paint marker
2. Use toothpick with alcohol to clean as best as I can (which is really hard as some gaps are so tiny
3. What I cant scrape off I go over with a black lining pen to look neater
4. Repeat 1-3 continuously

Such a pain, I hate it, the white looks horrible even after several layers and cleaning it makes it more of a pain

Oh on another note:

What are those clear stands that some gunpla reviewers use called? The ones which looks like glass with multiple bend joints, anyone know what they are called?

If so would anyone recommend them?

How much are they?

Are they better than Bandai's action bases?

If you can't cut them i'd say #4 until you are satisfied It sucks, but a easy hobby is a boring one, isnt it?

i mean, if you mess up too much you can airbrush it pink, add some stars to it and call it a Lacus Custom : D

Oh I feel your pain, I'm the same lol
There are times where it could actually take me up to 30 mins to apply a small sticker

Not sure what stand your on about altho I'm guessing action base 3(?)but heres whats on offer on HLJ

Action Bases

And yea I'd recommend these. they are good as long as you don't handle them too much, much like you'd do with the rest of the hobby. All about being delicate

Did you mean this kind of stand?:

If it is, then they aren't really for Model kits but for Robot Damashii (RD). I believe they're called Damashii Stage (or Spirit Stage). You can get them separately from the RDs. IIRC Damashii Stage can be used for HG kits (and maybe RGs too?).

The usual price is about $15-18 or around 1000 yen (also depends on where you buy).

It's not necessarily better than Bandai's action bases. It's up to your taste.

Here's one example and an HLJ link.

Just finished MG Hi-Nu Gundam

It's a great looking kit, but it's very fragile when i compare it to the MG strike noir i recently built. I'm almost afraid to chang it's position.

Just got word my MG Nu gundam 2.0 is ready to ship, but i'm gonna stock it in the closet till after 1/144 HG 7th gundam FA and 1/100 MG AGE-1 Normal

I think they're as good as action bases if not better. If you ever feel a joint is too loose, you could always tighten the screws. Plus they come in boxes of threes.

Its the Hasegawa one, anyone know where I can find those?

As for the Damashii stands do you know if they have any connectors which work with HG kits?

And thanks guys for all the suggestions ^^

Please elaborate on what scale you prefer the most

From what I know of you I suggest you get the HG 00 and AGE line kits as those designs seem to be your preference
