They got really lucky, but I hope they'll manage to make their dreams come true.
It was nice how everyone congratulated them on serialization ^^
Azuki's present was really nice, as were the flashbacks that came with it.
I'm totally happy Hattori's gonna be their editor again!!!!
Miura'll sure have his hands full with Niizuma & Akina ^^"

Good thing the other editors realized losing Ashirogi Muto over a silly vote was a bad idea. Best news ever Hattori is back with them! Lol though Miura gets +Natural now. Iwase was funny as well. Interesting new way to tackle what they lack and do it like how Iwase and Niizuma work together.

Way to go sensible people. The chief editor will always remain as the downfall of Jack, but luckily, there were enough sensible people around him to overturn his decision.

Definitely the best news is Hattori is back. You can see the excitement and progress is there with them. The chief editor actually made a good decision this time, so there is still hope for him. Well, I'll like to see where they head with this.

Miho's VA was quite good with the song. She sounded really cute, except for wishing a happy new "ear" for Mashiro. I guess the better for him to listen to her with.

I'm an episode behind, and next week the second season ends.

If I may voice my opinion, the committee voting whether PCP was to be serialized or not became the best high-tension scene of all this season, because the verdict stopped at at tie with only the Editor-In-Chief remaining to cast his vote whether he approved PCP to compete against CROW and +NATURAL or not.

I've been thinking Mashiro+Takagi combo is like Iwase+Niizuma combo. Takagi and Iwase both do the script and Mashiro and Niizuma both doing the drawing. Would it be better for Mashiro to do the name just like Niizuma? From reading the script Mashiro can use his perspective in drawing the manga instead of Takagi.
Haha, it was tough not to spoil anything back when you posted this, but now that it happened, I can say nice prediction

Loved seeing Niizuma straight call out Miura over Tanto. That boy tells it like it is, and doesn't hold back.

Neither does Iwase, at that. And I don't care what anyone says, she and her nutty yandere tendencies are adorable

Heh, one of the great bromances in anime is back again - and it's a three-way...

New Page 24: Expression and Imagination

So, those of you out there let a sigh of relief now that Ashirogi's PCP has been serialized and were changed editors back with Hattori, meaning Miura's reign-of-terror is over.

In spite of his shortcomings, Miura learned important lessons from the three of them, so we'll see how he handles both Niizuma and Iwase. However, poor Miura he's moped around by Iwase and got threatened with her suing him next time for sexual harrasement just for calling her pretty!!

Moving on again with the boys, they barely scraped through because their manga lacks blank panels to go insight the characters for engaging with imagination to the readers like Eiji's manga does.

Fukuda's now working on a new one-shot for a possible manga of his own creation, because he doesn't want to lose against Ashirogi.

And, to conclude things, Miho's vocal song present to Mashiro was so smoothly beautiful to listen to for a Christmas present.

I watched the last episode, and I really liked how the episode was arranged. Despite knowing the story, I was still moved. Well, until October.

What a great final episode. I ended up watching it twice straightaway. It finished up exactly where predicted oh so many months ago. That being said, even if I knew what was coming my eyes got watery at the end there.

The Tanto era was an infamous low in the Bakuman universe, so I can't wait until we see what season 3 has to offer. I'm also happy because there was much Kaya love in this episode as well.

I'm definitely going to miss this show until then.

EDIT: Also, I don't remember Sasaki giving that condition in the manga. After doing a quick check through the chapters this covers, I couldn't find it either. The (anime) staff really want him to rub you the wrong way in the show, it seems. Though as far as conditions go, it does fit in with what they had agreed upon beforehand. It just seems silly when put up against those results.

EDIT EDIT: Ah, my bad. Sasaki did indeed give those terms. I do stand by my opinion that they're deliberately making him out to be more of a bad guy in the show though. I honestly like him as a character, and the only time he irked me was when he made the decision in the hospital.

So their serialization is moving along nicely ^^
The three assistants were a nice add-on to the Ashirogi team.
The new manga name was also pretty good & catchy too.
The suspense part was killing me!
Finally!!!!!! They got it.
Hattori & Ashirogi Muto sure make an amazing team!!
Awesome final episode, this is was what I was waiting for since this anime started.

It's confirmed to start airing next fall

Based on the very quick teaser we got I expect it to cover chapters 92 through 150

Hopefully we'll get S4 in fall 2013.

That being said, between one epic manga chapter and anime episode bakuman was on a roll on all fronts this week.

Congrats finally 1st place! Still have tears from that ending. Though Sasaki had to rain on the parade again. Next fall can't come any sooner!

What a terrific finale. I knew from the eyecatch that the ending would go exactly where I'd hoped it would - and it did. I even have to give Miura his due - he could have turned sour grapes, but he was genuinely pulling for Ashirogi to get first place. I wonder - do the authors know the connotations of PCP in English, though?

Terrific season on the whole, and a criminally underappreciated anime. We survived the Tanto era - both Ashirogi and the viewers.

Yes, Angel Dust got first place! That was definitely a good note to end the season on. I wonder if they will have any hallucinary effects in the manga?

Hattori and Ashirogi are just so great together. Chief Editor will always remain as the downfall of Jack, but I'm sure that the mangaka will turn this around somehow to say that thanks to Chief Editor, things turned out great. I'll never buy that, though.

I'm glad they added some dynamic to the assistants. They will be fun to watch in the 3rd season.

Also, at the closing 3rd season anouncement, they flashed a third character after Mashiro and Takagi. It looks like a blend of those 2 characters, but is that a new character?
