http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...7&postcount=11 The news and posters have been updating in this thread as well as the two trailers. The 1st movie comes out next week, I'll check it out in 2 weeks myself. Aside from the JP website, not much news can be given on it from the Western point of view. It seems that it's not being played in mainstream cinemas either with the popularity of naruto or bleach or pokemon movies. As for subs, unless some brave soul records a cinema cap and some group wants to sub that horrible quality Then you'll get a sub soon, otherwise expect a 5 month wait or longer for DVD/blu-ray releases before any of us fansubbers can grab a copy and sub it. So... Spring 2010, i suppose....

A bad news and a good news for people waiting for the Eden of the East Movies.
The bad news: the second movie "Paradise Lost" has been delayed of 2 months, and will air in march (instead of january as originally planned). The good news: while originally planned as being both 60 minutes long, the two movies have both been extended, so movie 1 will be 82 minutes long, while film 2 will be 90 minutes. No variations on first movie's airing, "The King of Eden" airs this saturday. Source: ANN

If you don't want to ruin your experience, I suggest you simply wait for the DVD/BR release. Really. |

ive been thinking. this anime season has been incredibly weak. i feel for me, as anime veteran, who has seen a lot of things, theres absolutely nothing worthwhile watching. as a result it kind of feels like there just arent as many anime series' being produced.
however, for a while now i have noticed a massive amount of anime movies that im very interested in coming out, which is somewhat unusual. that and looking at the strange way the story of eden of the east is being told, makes me wonder, could it be that for some reason releasing movies has become a lot more profitable currently? or rather, that releasing tv series' has become more risky for some reason, so it doesnt happen as easily? |

Glad they bloody well extended it, was expecting no less than 90mins tbh. As for number 2 being out in March, kinda leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy, means more time. ^^ Probably if they push the DVD out by around then, it'd make for better exposure. Btw, where could we talk about the movie, or should just wait for the DVD so the mass can yap over it?

Spoiler for pass~:
The second movie comes out in March, otherwise the first is currently playing in the cinemas for the present time. Will write impressions in here later on in the week when I get the chance. As for DVD releases, it'll probably be sometime in Spring or just before the second movie comes out in March (which would make commercial sense)
