Now, there are still shows that are style over substance and can be fun, interesting and entertaining just because they own their own stupidity and run with it, I think Valvrave The Liberator is the best example of it, while there are others that while pretty just obviously lack any soul or creative spark and were clearly made just going through the motions to try and make some quick money, like Aldnoah.Zero.

So yeah, for my this show is like AZ just without mechs, so if I translate that to a numerical score I would say it's around a -37/10.

Perhaps I'm being unfair and came in with unreasonable expectation of this being a competent AoT imitator, yet that expectation was hard to avoid with it being made by the same studio, having the same director and such a similar set up, but then again if I didn't have that expectation there's little chance of me watching this anyway.

Now on episode 9 of this anime.

Whatever his reasons for hating the shogun.. those reasons are not an excuse to murder so many innocent people by letting the kabane into the station. I await the episode where Biba dies a brutal death...

Watched the final episode:

Plenty of things I liked here. Mumei (Hozumi) was rescued succesfully. And I've noticed many changes in the people at the Kotetsujou. In the first episodes, they only want to kick Ikoma out of the train.. this time they sew a cloth to welcome him. Everyone pretty much became a better person.. even the elders, this time they easily welcome people into the train, instead of being too afraid that someone might have been bitten.

And I think, the decision by Ayame to welcome Biba's soldiers into the train helped make this into a happy ending. Because she welcomed them, they gave information that Ikoma, Mumei, and Kurusu are at Kongoukaku. If Ayame did not know the information, Ikoma, Mumei, and Kurusu would have been left behind. Also, Biba's soldiers might have tried to kill them if they were not accepted into the train.

Hoping there would be a season 2. Really had a good time watching this anime.
